What Students Say

Likes

The peer groups and the clubs have got the best environment and there are a lot of activities going on.
The campus is lush green and there are a lot of spots other than classes to hangon.
The teachers are great and supportive, they try to help to get out of any difficulties

Dislikes

If you are in a lower branch you'll probably suffer with the environment around you placement opportunities are not so great you'll have to get everything on your own.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is not at all updated like they teach us things which were relevant like 10years ago. The curriculum should be updated and there should be more labs than theory classes. The difficulty level of exam is decent.

Placement Experience

The placement is decent but it has gone down severely in the recession period. The opportunities are comparetively less for industrial engineering students many go for higher studies or Tech jobs in off campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is flexible there are alot of scholarship opportunities available for students with weak financial backrounds like post metric and medhavi also for hostel you get awas which helps alot.

Campus Life

The clubs are the best to be a part of in this college. You get the best peer group the best seniors all of them are so supportive and also helps quite well in career guidance apart from that they help you develop soft skills.

Admission

Like In jee the rank at which ipe closed was for around 230000 and the admission process is quite flexible and it was a step by step process. The people with pcm background can opt for this course. The process does not need any improvement.

Faculty

The teachers are well qualified. They are helping in nature. But they usually gives too many assignments which sometimes feel too over burdened. They also are very regular never takes any holiday or comes late to the class.

SGSITS: JUST A BIG BRAND

Placement Experience:

At the end of 2nd year, companies like goldman sachs comes to take interns. For placements students become eligible from 6th or 7th semester. In recent years goldman sachs is the biggest recruiter, oracle and Deloitte have also recruited, other firms like tcs and infosys also come. Giants like Amazon and google have stopped visiting since few years. Last year highest package was 72 lpa to an ece student. Average lies around 8 lpa. In tech branch 70-80% students are placed. In lower branches 50-60% students are placed. My plan is also to get placed at a decent package after completion of course.

The college have good placements as far as I got to know. The highest package was 8500000 lpa last year and average package was 1900000 lpa. My plan after the degree is to get god job in ECE cire company.

LIFE IN MITS-DU

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to get placed and many companies visits every year for placement and approx 60-70% students gets placement every year.As per my knowledge there is no company which has made no offer.Average package is about 6-7 lakhs per annum.My plan is to take good package from on campus placement drive.If I am unable to get this then I will try for off campus placement and I also want to do MTECH after graduating.

A campus of learning, friendship and future prospects

Placement Experience:

Campus Pl start from the 7th semester with good companies visiting for core branches popular recruiters are tafe eichers, CG power, Disa. Cognizant and Infosys for the IT roles also. The average package is up to the 6 LPA. After completing my degree I am planning To join a good company of the mechanical branch which helps me in building my career in the core engineering field.

The Institute has a separate cell for training & placement that cares for the industrial exposure & placement of students. They have the intensive classes for communication skills, personality development and group discussion that makes them to lead in the competitive world.

I applied for IET davv but I kept it as second preference in MP dte counselling. Other options available for me were some IIITs and lower branches in NITs but I wanted to go for IT sector. Now reason for me for choosing this college was it was slight better than iet and slight lower than IIITs but fees of IIITs was very high, So I didn't applied for them. When I applied for sgsits suddenly they increased their fees. I had no option left other than iet or taking sgsits, but in between confusions and dilemma I choosen sgsits by suggestions of relatives and other elders. Admission process is done through MP dte counselling, based on jee mains rank. Cutoff of general category for IT branch is about AIR 45,000. The college is good in terms of placement and development of students

I have applied to many nits and I got seat in NIT bhopal in electronics and communication branch. But I chose Sgsits cse over nit bhopal ece because I wanted to pursue my career in cse and I have no interest in ece. The admission process of the college is easy . First filling of application through date and then if we get seat we have to report college for the final admission process which is just of 1-2 hours and after fee submission your admission is confirmed.
