Remarks

CMRIT is a perfect blend of academics and culture that upholds the importance of score and self upgradation not only through books but by pushing individuals to participate learn. It provides immense opportunities to know more and grab the best of ones need.

Entrance Preview

I always had an inclination for electronics and tech. So CMRIT came across me as the best fit to my score and hence i chose it for my Btech. Also, i searched that CMRIT has a great backbone of the technical support. Since electrical and electronics could help me be a part of both tech and core, hence i chose it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

CMRIT has a varied course curriculum under the CBCS scheme of VTU that always keeps a progressive improvement for a student with exams at regular intervals. There are 5 modules for every subject which are equally important to study and know so as to have a good score in the semester exam.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college doesnt provide iternship but it helps students a lot to get their internship at the best colleges and companies to upgrade their experience in real time work

Placement Experience

4

The placement graph is increasing on a high note with years. On an average, almost 80% students placed with the top 20% into real good companies all over the country. Cse ise ece and eee has an exceptional placement record whereas mechanical and civil are trying to pull themselves up into the game.

College Events

4.5

The academic year starts with the celebration of independence day, ganesh chaturthi, durga puja and kannada Rajyotsava. Diwali is also an attraction towards the closure of the odd semester. The even semester kick starts the preperation for the grand College fest CULTURA that provides a platform for all the raging talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since i came through comedk, my fees is 1.75 lakhs per anumn which is the academic fees which is fixed for all the colleges under VTU. The college fees is around 30,000 which fluctuates every year. So in comparison to all the other colleges around, the fees is nominal and affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

CMR provides scholarship for all the meritorious students and excellent performances in curricular and co-curricular. Loan facility is not privided by the college but approves the ones who take loans to give the fees.

Campus Life

4

CMRIT has an exceptional campus life facilitating every kind of extra-curricular activities. The MAKERSPACE is the hub of innovation where students get their hands onto the finest discoveries of their own kind. There are a lot of colleges that hosts fests and the college encourages students to participate independently in it.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel fees is around 1 lakhs per anumn. The old boys/girls hostel is a bit old fashioned having only three seaters and four seater rooms. The newly constructed NRI hostel has a fees around 1.25 lakhs per anumn with better facilities and infrastructure.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a stable alumni network who are in proper touch with all the events happening here. The senior students are friendly and approachable as well.

Exam Structure

The college conducts three internal exams, one in every month which is out of 50 and the total 150 is reduced to marks obtained out of 30. This is added to the 10 marks for projects which sums up to be a total of 40 internal marks. The external exam is out of 100 which is again scaled down to 60. Thus the internal and external marks are added to give the final marks out of 100.

Admission

It was an online counselling, so got EEE in my second round. After that i had to wait for the dates for the submission of documents and verification. Soon the dates were announced and i came to the institute to get every formality sorted. After that it took around a week for the college to start.

Faculty

4.5

All the faculties of the college are highly qualified who are always there for any kind of help for the students at any domain of their life. Specially in my EEE dept, all the faculties are very friendly and approachable. A special mention for the HOD EEE who is one of the coolest person one can ever come across.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
