Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very practical and theory baded too. I have been able to apply a lot of things that were taught to me in the college in the real world. The teaching methods can be more practical rather than just the normal teacher speaking and student listening. The exams are challenging and at the same time rewarding if you have prepared well.

Placement Experience

4.5

The students get various opportunities in this course, from the second year students get varioud internship opportunities and from the third year there are various job opportunities from small companies to big multi national corporations . About 40 students who apply for the placement get the jobs, the packages are aorund 2.5-3 lacs per annum as starting. My plans is to study further ACCA before getting a job

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees have remained constant for the last few years, and there have been no hikes as such. The complete cost of my education comes to around a Lakh which includes the tuition fees, other courses fees which helped in developing my skills There are various scholarships and financial aids for the students

Campus Life

4.5

There are various fests that our college hosts of which the main for our section is Pravaah. It is hosted for 3 days. It is one of the best fests in colleges in mumbai. Library is fully equipped with thousands of books. The classrooms are fully air conditioned with Blackboard as well as White board also a projector. Many sports and extracurricular activities are actively held in our college. there are various clubs run by the students out of which many are dedicated towards the betterment of the poor people

Admission

The cut off was not very high and i got in on the first list with 84% The aplication form, the application fees etc all very easily accessible on the college website as well as the university website. The admission process was very seamless. There was no need to go to the campus of the college too. Everything was online

Faculty

4

There are about sixty five students to one teacher, the approachability is good with students can contact their teachers at any point of reasonable time. Mentorship is great as the majority of teachers have good experience like seven to eight years being minimum.

Interview Experience

2.5

For the admission there were no sorts of group discussions or any interviews. the admission was solely based on the percentage achieved in the 12th grade exams of the students. There were no other tests too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.
