A 3rd year DTU student reviwed his collage

I opt for Electrical engineering and it was not my choice it was my rank , and if i had better rank i would have opt for IT, CS etc. but i don't regret of my stream which i got luckily because due to recession tech placements sucks and in Electrical engineering i have so many options like gate, ese , barc,state exams etc and i am prearing for that. Carriculam of DTU is practical+theory based. In the complete syllabas you will find the core subjects, electives based on your choice, enviroment related subjects. professors are so chill (i did'nt fail in power electroincs with just 5 marks out of 70) but you will definately face 1 or 2 professors who will not paas you even if you get 15-20marks. exams are held at every 2-3 months gap and difficulty level is moderate and you can request to professors for marks.

Google, Microsoft,SPRINKLE etc compnies offers for internships and stipined goes upto 150000 to 200000. I have not done any projects so i can not tell about that. From each batch 2 to 3 studentd get internship as i have seen.

Campus placement is decent for tech students but for core it is not that good. In 7th semester we can go for placements and big compines like GOOGLE MICROSOFT SPRINKLE and 100 more companies offer for placements. 1.8 crore was offered for a design student and 1.22 crore is highest for a B.tech student in DTU. average pacakge is arround 15 to 17 lakhs. Almost 60% students get placement. BTW i am preparing for engineering service exam and GATE.

fee structure of B.tech:- 1st year 206000 (2021) 2nd yaer 219000 (2022) 3rd year 236000 (2023) 4thyear 247000 (2024) After every of new session fee increament is 10000. you can get fee concession up to 100% in tution fee based on your financial condition. Tution fee is approx. 70000 less than actual fee and you get scholorship on your tution fee only. And if you have any contiuing backlog then scholorship will be cancelled. I got 50% scholorship from "DTU SCHOLORSHIP" which was 65000 and 70000 for 1st and 2nd year. you can also apply on e-district for scholorship. After 2nd year internship starts in the campus and if someone is eligible then he/she can apply for that. From every class 2 to 3 studennts gets internship. Outside delhi students are eligibli for the hostels and hostel fee is 28000 (3 seater non ac) to 36000 (3 seater ac ONLY) per semester. and for single seater room 32000 but non ac and for double seater 30000 non ac.

Campus is lush green and very beautiful and in collage like DTU which is known for collage life, you can enjoy your life here because teachers are chill, attendence criteria is 75% but i never attended even 50% classes and never has been detained. Engifest is the most famous event of DTU and celebrities like Shreya ghosal,Sushant singh rajpoot, sidhhu moosewala,kartik aryan,sunidhi chauhan has attended the event. Wide range of books availaible in library and one can find books related to thier course and other areas to like UPSC books, Stories,philoshophy etc. Library timing is 9am to 9pm but on sunday it is 10am to 5pm. DTU has indoor and outdoor games( football, tenis, basketball , cricket, etc.) and so many socities are there to socilaise with new people and learn. There are so many whatsapp groups that are being run by students for information purposes of any event.

There are plenty of washrooms at each floor and they are cleaned everyday. One badmitton court is made in each hostels. For registration, you have to go at hostel office. Mess food quality is very good and 3480 is price per month.

1. I got 97.38 percentile in jee mains exam and my rank was 24724 and i was the 2nd last person who got electrical engineering after complete counselling process (last rank was 26000 who got electrical enginnering). 2. Application process in my time was held online through JAC delhi counselling and it was easy and simple. I did not face any difficulty in in the complete process. But one suggestion is that during counselling there is so many number they provide for call but no one respond so they can improve on this. 3. JAC delhi is the counselling body to complete the whole process of admission and anyone can find the comlete detail of admission process (i.e Apllication form, imp. dates etc.) on the JAC website and fees of application form is 1500 which is not refundable at all. 4.I got reservation in OBC category and one can get reservation benifits according to their category (i.e. SC ,ST,EWS, PWD , Defence qota, single girl child, delhi qota students gets 85% reservation).
