Likes

The college professors and overall the college curriculum is good.
The Cultural fest itself a great center of attraction of our college.

Dislikes

The college campus is a bit small, there are not enough hostels for students.
There is a criteria of CPI for admission into the hostel every year.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is a good but it is slightly old. It does help to overcome real world challenges because the technologies which we learn in the course have a good application in real world development and problem solving. The course can be made even better introducing latest modern technologies which a greater use in the todays world. The Exams are held twice every Semester, first the mid semester exams and then the end semester Exams.

Class Size: 115Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Internships Opportunities

For the internships the companies start coming to the college in the 5 th semester. The companies include Optum, DBOI etc visit the college for interships. The overall internships opportunities used to very good earlier but from the last year there has been a decline in the number of internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

The Placement Cell starts providing internship opportunities form 5 th semester and Placement opportunities from the 7th semester. The companies that visit our college include Adobe, JP morgan, Amazon , Directi, ZS assocaite etc. The highest package goes to around 57 LPA with an average package of 11 LPA. The overall placement percentage goes around 80%.

Fees and Financial Aid

There isn't any fee increase policy as such, As I belong to SC category we have to pay nominal fees of around 10000 per year. There are alot of scholarships also available for the students on the basis of merit, income etc.

Campus Life

The overall college life experience is good. The college does have a alot of clubs and committees , every commitee organizes its own fest. The annual cultural fest is called Sanskriti , Technical fest is named Aavartan etc.

Admission

For admission to this college you have clear jee mains exam with a good rank. The applications for jee mains start online around November and there are two attempts for the exam. The first attempt usually happens in january and the second attempt happens around april. The cut-off for general category goes around 93 percentile. There are special reservations for Female and Categories like SC, ST and OBC. Every Semester we have two give exams two times first, the mid semester exams and second the end semester exams, and practicals respectively.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are decent, average package is somewhere around 10-11 LPA and lowest around 4 LPA where are the highest is around 65 LPA. around 70% of students get placed through campus placement. As this is an NIT, there are many intership opportunity and stipend varis from 10,000-35,000 per month. Companies like Adobe, AMD, Intel, Microsoft provide intership opportunities in this college and over 20% students get properly paid internships

Collage provides the best placements in the whole chattishgar, it is one of the few collages in the whole country which have a dedicated drone learning ecosystem. In the 2020-2024 session averge placement is around 11.6 LPA, with the higest pakage of 34LPA and lowest of 3.6LPA. Accourding to ratio of eligible candidate and placed candidate, 9-0 percent of then get placed. Not only the placements, collage also helps in finding internships as well.

NIT Raipur (The Fastest Developing NIT)

Some major points where NIT Raipur stands out over the other colleges. It's Placements, being an NIT it's decent enough for anyone choosing a college in a peaceful and affordable city like Raipur. It's Alumni connections, that make the college foundation really strong. The Student Culture is really good for personal growth, for someone who is still figuring out his/her career NIT RR could be a really good college for them.
