Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very good . As for the real world aspect the curriculum prepares you pretty good for real world applications and further academic pursuits . I think teachers should be more interactive more practical experiments should be done . The exams are bit difficult

Internships Opportunities

Companies like wipro, Deloitte offered paid internships with stipends. But very less students get internship here . For internships you have to try off campus as there are less companies in this region.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placement from 8th semester . Some big companies like wipro, deloitte etc visits college. The highest package was 45 lpa while average package was 13 lpa. Almost 80% percent students got placed. I have not decided yet

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees per year increases by 10% . The total fees for this course will be somewhere around 1300000 which includes tuition fees hostel fees and other compulsory charges . The college does not provide scholarships to any student however you can apply for your state or central government scholarships .

Campus Life

The permanent campus is not yet handed so there are not much fests happened till now. You can find every type of books in library. The classrooms are air conditioned. The sports club is active and many sports are played . There are many groups run by students

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are pretty bad but you will get table chair bed fan almirah etc . The meal is not good not bad type and the menu is good with full diversified dishes. College will send you a google form for hostel accomodation.

Hostel Fee: INR 400000 per year

Admission

To be eligible to get admission in this course you need to get at least 75% in class 12 and must have appeared in jee mains. To find details about jee mains visit their official site jeemain.nta.nic.in . If you belong to any reserved category you will get better seat than general category student at same rank . The exam is a bit difficult to crack and it's timings are 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm . I think improvement can be done in admission process by reducing caste based reservations.

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

Don't join if you don't care about the iiit tag cause we have poor college life

I got Indian institute of information technology bhagalpur ece branch it's a good college as it has it's own permanent campus while we don't have that so that's why it is preferable in that way but our location is better with other facilities. During Josaa counseling i applied to many top notch colleges and in the first round result was declared i got MMMUT gorakhpur ECE IOT and i was pretty excited to study IOT but as time passed by i noticed that this yeae the cutoff for ECE IOT in MMMUT went to low as to 2.5lac me being a 80K ranker with students of 2.5lac is not good as later i came to know that the class is what will be deciding which company will come to your college and how much will they offer for campus placement and moreover i found that its course cirriculum is also pretty much out dated and for something like ECE IOT that is such a new field i dodnt find it soothing. i didnt get rejected form the collegs i was expectingt to one of them was IET lucknow i should have took it if the AKTU consulling was not that late as it happened Admission process in our college is simple once you got selected through josaa or csab make you PAF 2 payment and confirm your seat then make the rest of 1st sem payement of instiution and...Read More

For the getting into IIIT Kalyani, one need to clear the JEE Nains examination and need to have around 50 thousands rank. One major flaw is that there is no female reservations seats.
