Remarks

The management mostly had a biased attitude towards classroom learning. Less importance was given to research, industry visits, workshops, extra curricular activities.

Entrance Preview

Compared to colleges under mumbai university, this colleges considered as one of the best college in terms of facilities and placement. Also the location is within the city limits with lot of travel options. Teaching is above average here. But the good part is TCET tries to manage it's accreditation by AICTE. Also it always tries to bring more and more companies to the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is set by Mumbai University which I believe is not very up to date. However the college tries to bring few external trainers to do some workshops on recent trends and techs. Also college has integrated with Texas instruments for a innovation lab to give a boost to it's electronics students.

Placement Experience

4

Placements in the college were good compared to colleges in Mumbai. Most companies were IT forms but few anytics firm also used to visit the campus. However options were few for Mechanical and electronics students, so they had to rely on analytics firm or join any mass recruiter.

College Events

4

They used to be few events throughout the year in our colleg.Few of them were technical and few of them were cultural. Annually there used to be one technical festival where people used to present the technical projects and there also used to be one cultural festival with included extra curricular events like dance, drama and songs.ALSO this college had a sports ground so they conducted sports events annually and some Inter College events around Mumbai. OTHER THAN THIS THERE ALSO USED TO BE ONE INTER COLLEGE EVENT CALLED MULTICON.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee was a big towards the higher end compared to fees across colleges in Mumbai. During 2012 to 2016, the fever in the range of 106000 110000 annually. However the colleges to provide a very good infrastructure including air conditioned classrooms, good equipments in the lab, and a good sports ground.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was one scholarship provided by the government for underprivileged students whose annual income of the family fall under 4.5 lacs per annum. As per this scheme, every college had some 5 to 10 seat for each stream allotted for this quota and eligible candidates can apply and if their marks are in the top 5 to 10 among the students applied under this quota, then they were given the seats where in all the tuition fees where waivered off and they had to only pay the other fees which is hardly 10% of the total fees.

Campus Life

4.5

Overall the campus life was good and full of life. as mentioned earlier there used to be a mix of Technical events and cultural events and sports events used to happen annually wherein both students and faculties used to attend and participate with full enthusiasm. technical events were average and not anything innovative used to be presented.college had also recently introduced a research and development lab which anybody who had a good idea could utilise to work on. also the college provides incubation centres if anybody would like to would like to start a company of their own.

Hostel Facilities

4

the hostel was a standalone building at a distance of around 1 km from the college where the facilities were kind of average and the food facility was not good in the hostel.the only advantage was that the hostel was well within the city limits so all the facilities where within reach and easily accessible.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is not that great here but the college is striving hard to create one. It also conducts 1 alumni event annually to bring together all the college alumni and guide the current batches in any way possible.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is followed as per the guidelines of Mumbai University. Two internal term tests in a semester followed by practicals and Viva and finally the University set written exams. The marks were aggregated from all these exams for a semester and then credits were assigned by University.

Admission

Well most enteries here is through state entrance test of Maharashtra. Also few use the marks of AIEEE. there's also peole who fall under Hindi minority for whom there's 50% quota here. The admission process is followed as per the guidelines of Mumbai University. People have to enroll for the online admission system and seats are allotted as per the marks and colleges chosen. However for people who fall under Hindi speaking quota there's a separate offline system, basically forms, that you can fill and get admitted based on your marks compared within the quota candidates.

Faculty

3.5

The overall faculty quality is average, with few of them who stand above average but mostly others are simple book worms with little or no knowledge about the recent trends in the industry which is of utmost importance when it's engineering that you are teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Parricularly the modules which focused on animal science & botany, the curriculum was built to learn from basics to the advance level towards research area of biology which impressed me alot. The focus on animal biology, statistics, cell biology & genetics, ecology & wildlife conservation, Immunology & biotechnology leads a foundation to successfully enter the real-world and apply this knowledge for better cause of humans as well as animals. As the therotical teaching method can differ from on-hand experience on field there is a need to improve the course curriculum around this issue. The learning period was designed perfectly in-course of the prepaption time between each test and it wasn't difficult if we are well prepared.

It's average or below average in term of real world experience curriculum there no such thing. Teaching is not bad there are big screen in class to teach from and blackboard. But most students don't know anything about the real world projects and techniques. Syllabus is controlled by mumbai University is too told and does not have any use in real world industries which need to be changed and most important since IT sector is something which advances and changes each year

Course Curriculum Overview:

I\n Chose this course in specific this college.Because first of all , it was afforrable as compared to others institutes.I can say that we weren't getting any experience which can prepare us for the real world experience like we were made to sit in workshops which was not at all connected to our curriculum. And then later on, when we said we don't want to attend it.We were given lame excuses like this will help you. And we will give you certificates for this. And later on , we were given nothing. Course needs a lot of improvement.I guess because they doesn't favor student feedbacks. The exam are typically in june and depends upon ycmou college dosent have any role to it and its not that difficult with basic knowledge you can score well.

The course provides an exceptional knowledge of the fundamentals of physics and its application in various fields. The course is designed to prepare the students well. The teaching method is excellent for the teachers to use real-life examples and exciting visuals while teaching. However, the course can be improved by adding some modern physics fields such as astrophysics and quantum mechanics to the curriculum.
