Likes

Placement scenario is good. If someone works hard he/she will get a decent placement.
Office staff are good. They will help you in every way possible regarding scholarships, bank loan , any academic documents requirement
New hostel which is currently under construction is quite good

Dislikes

Faculty is average. Not at all good. One need to study on his/her own.
Current hostel rooms are small and hostel toilets are very unheigenic.
No social life is here in this college. No fest had been held till now.

I liked Computer science thus I decided to do my B.Tech in CSE only In IIIT Kalyani two exams are held in a semester Mid semester exam and end semester exam But the faculty is average Some are good in explaining and some are just worst They dont properly explain and leave rest of their work on the hands of the phd scholars under them

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are provided from many good companies but i dont much details about it. But anyone can get a decent internship if he/she has good knowledge. A 2 month internship is done in third year from college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hostel fees per semester is around 54000 And tution fees is around 94000 Scholarships are provided Both central government funded and state government funded Complete cost is around 12 lacks including hostel

Campus Life

From 2024 there will be a fest every year Till now only a cultural fest happened every year Books are accessible in library but collection is not so good and big Classroom are good. Air conditioning and projectors are there for ppt presentations, other activities Sports facilities are very good. One can get cricket coaching, football coaching completely free(included in your fees) Many student clubs are there for different purposes Like tech club, pixel club , literature club etc

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are 3 seaters A bed, cupboard ,table , chair is provided Water cooler for drinking, water heater for bathing is also provided But hygiene is not maintained On a scale of 1-10 , its a 4 Mess food quality is really bad

Hostel Fee: INR 400000 per year

Admission

One need to clear JEE Mains to get admission into this Admission is done through jee mains only For general category for b.tech in cse it closes in around 45k rank Reservation are also available for admission

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

Don't join if you don't care about the iiit tag cause we have poor college life

I got Indian institute of information technology bhagalpur ece branch it's a good college as it has it's own permanent campus while we don't have that so that's why it is preferable in that way but our location is better with other facilities. Journey to start and Journey till the end

During Josaa counseling i applied to many top notch colleges and in the first round result was declared i got MMMUT gorakhpur ECE IOT and i was pretty excited to study IOT but as time passed by i noticed that this yeae the cutoff for ECE IOT in MMMUT went to low as to 2.5lac me being a 80K ranker with students of 2.5lac is not good as later i came to know that the class is what will be deciding which company will come to your college and how much will they offer for campus placement and moreover i found that its course cirriculum is also pretty much out dated and for something like ECE IOT that is such a new field i dodnt find it soothing. i didnt get rejected form the collegs i was expectingt to one of them was IET lucknow i should have took it if the AKTU consulling was not that late as it happened Admission process in our college is simple once you got selected through josaa or csab make you PAF 2 payment and confirm your seat then make the rest of 1st sem payement of instiution and...Read More

For the getting into IIIT Kalyani, one need to clear the JEE Nains examination and need to have around 50 thousands rank. One major flaw is that there is no female reservations seats.
