Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would like to rate it 8 out of 10. As biotechnology is applied area so i choose it to go in industry area and academic also. In university you have to maintain proper time and deadline of assignments and projects...which prepares you for real world application. Practical class are too much good and relevant which is helpful for future application but in some theory classes teaching method should be improved In a semester there are one mid term and one end semester exam.... And there are many assignments and class tests.

Placement Experience

4.5

Campus placement is very good in our college. Maximum students get placed in various company. From 3rd sem of msc student are eligible for placement. Various biological company came like - intas, tcg, gsk, pathansitu, nestle etc Highest package is - 6lpa Average is - 3 lpa About 90 percent student get placed. I was selected in various company from college placement but i am not interested in sales and marketing, and Bioinformatics jobs so i not joined in company....

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees is ok... Rather higher than other universities. Total cost including hostel fees, mess fees and course fees is approx - 6 lakh for 2 years Yes i have selected for various company but as i was not interested for Bioinformatics and sales jobs so i didn't joined those... College should increase the wet lab based company placement rather than sales and marketing for biotechnology students.

Campus Life

4.5

Overall social life, Campus life is very much good and enjoyable in university. There are many cultural program, fests, interdepartmental sports, festives are held in every occasion.... There are many cultural club like music, photography, dance which improves students skills. There are enough books and journals for students in library All classroom, labs are air conditioned and are filled with digital board.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel rooms are provided in 2 and 3 beded sharing, with ac and non ac facility. There are also hot water in bathroom, water cooler, water purifier, washing machine available for students. Mess food is not upto the mark... Taste should be better. Registration is done in the day of documents submission. Yes there are also male and female pg available in the locality.

Admission

I admitted through online entrance exam which is known KIITEE. It includes basic aptitude and subject domain knowledge. Cut off varies from year to year. Eligibility criteria is graduation from any biological background. Application form, dates, fees all are available in the official website of kiit university. They conduct the entrance exam in different phases depending upon their seat vacancy.

I personally like the contemplative aspect of this course that isn't available at any other universities, this fact itself makes this university unique on itself and it helps with your mental health and it's truly amazing considering that we're students of psychology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to become a lecturer so i choosed the royal course Masters in zoology rather than any other specialisation course. And the course Masters of Science in Zoology, Botany is provided by very few private universities in Odisha and AIPHU is one of them i think probably the best one. Faculty do come and leave but there replacement is done simultaneously. The faculty student ratio is normal. Most of the faculty members have completed there PhD as well as Post Doctorial research from foreign universities and medical. Our faculty focus on building strong foundation. They start from basics and teach the difficult topics in very simpler way. We have two midterms each of 1 hours and of 100points which get converted to 20 marks. And one endterm of 50 marks and 10 marks for internal assessment. Midterms are brainstorming but it makes us thorough in specific units which makes endterm exam easier.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because this allows me to delve deeper into the passion for understanding animal life and their biological processes. Secondly, this is also a step towards my goal to become a researcher. The faculty members at our university are very dedicated, highly qualified, with their post-docs from a renowned university and are very cooperative. They teach us in a very friendly way, and their passion for research enriches the academic environment. The difficulty level for term exams is medium, neither too hard nor too easy, and requires hard work.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I much interest in it. Student faculty ratios is good as per availability. Professor are available most of the time. They are all very qualified and are hired as per the minimum requirements criteria of the college. Exams are semester-wise and happen biannually. It's difficult to pass the exams if you don't study properly throughout the year.
