Likes

I liked the celebrations in the college.
The hostels are without curfews so we can move out whenever we want.
Faculties are well educated and they teach accurately.

Dislikes

Cleanliness of the hostel is very bad. We can't sleep due to mosquitoes.
There is no adequate toilet facility at the college.
The studies are hectic and not able to perform well.

Studying mbbs is a bit difficult thing. They imposed a new curriculum called cbme curriculum and it focused on self studies and reduced the involvement and pressure on professors. So now the hectic condition is on students. There are frequent exams.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Internships Opportunities

After the mbbs course of about 4 and a half years, we have an internship of about 1 year and we have to work in the same hospital itself as house surgeons and we are having a salary of about twenty five thousand per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have a tuition fee of about thirty thousand per year and the government also provides many financial helps for the students those who cannot afford the tuition fee. Scholarships such as moma scholarship, e grants are provided.

This college provide opportunity for the development of all our interests. All the religious and national festivals are celebrated very festively. Onam is celebrated in september month Then christmas in december Holi, iftar, ethnic day etc are celebrated.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility for the first year students are very poor. The hostel is full of mosquitoes and poor infrastructure. Hostel is not at all clean. Meals are moderate. A room is provided with 2 fans, 3 lights and 6 members. No attached washrooms present.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

I wrote neet exam and i got 670 marks and secured a seat in gov.medical college kozhikode. I didn't avail any reservation. Neet exam conducted every year and it is a moderate exam. It is an offline exam.

So, in order to get admitted, one needs to be either 17 or more in age. It holds some general basic necessities that all colleges demand like (10+2) cbse or equivalent exam degree. And you need to score more than 50% aggregate in PCB / Biotech combined. For admission in UG courses, candidates can apply through their NEET UG medical scorecard. Aspirants need to clear the stated cutoff percentile in order to qualify. Candidates can check the expected cutoff percentile in the year of examination in order to prepare accordingly for their respective categories( general, SC/ST, OBC). A candidate can visit the official portal of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala to get themselves registered for NEET 2020 Kerala State Counselling. Counselling of NEET 2020 for All India Quota will be conducted in two rounds in online mode. The counselling will consist of these steps. 1. Registering to the official website. 2. You have to choose the courses and colleges of your preference and finally lock-in the preferences in the online portal. 3. Calicut Medical College - an ideal place to learn and grow as a doctor

I got admission on state quota (general category) after giving the NEET exam in 2019. I scored 646/ 720 and had an AIR rank of 1039 and state rank of 131. The overall application process was easy and all the necessary forms were given in the college itself. The admission dates were informed in the state website of Kerala, which can be found after filling the application for state quota. Application fees was paid in the college treasury itself.
