Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is good The curriculum provides more clinical exposure I have no suggestions for improvement of the curriculum Exams are conducted in a gap of 3 months called internals ante University exam at the end of a year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is 25000 for the students who have any type of reservations and I have no coming soon it The complete cost of education will be 25000 every year and your selfie for one year is 12000 like that for 5 years and a mess bill of an average 3000 every month Certain scholarships are provided like moma and e grand by the government. And some other private scholarships. And also other scholarships. Amount where is according to the scholarship average of the scholarship amount will be I think 10000 Stipends awarded for house-against-house surgeon PG students

Campus Life

Campus life is really good because never a lot of extracurricular activities sports and events occur in the college We have a library for accessing books and journals Good technological provisions within the classroom and amazing extracurricular and sports activities offered by the campus There are academy groups and charity groups run by students

Admission

The admission eligibility is according to NEET exam Further admission procedures will be under keam I have a wind-physically disabled reservation. Exams are conducted in a gap of 3 months called internals and a University exam at the end of a year and every exam are moderate to difficult level I don't have any suggestions on the admission procedure

The faculty student ratio is good and every department have sufficient number of teachers. The faculties are good and we have mentorship program We will try to the teachers most of the time because we have institutional mentor and every department wise mentor

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is of high relevance as it ensures that the student learns everything he need to learn in an mbbs life to become a good doctor. The curriculum we are now following is decided by the National Medical Council (NMC) of India and is CBME curriculum. The curriculum include many Self directed learning methods and small group discussions etc which makes the learning interesting and easy. The curriculum definitely prepares the students to become a good doctor in future. Some minute improvements are still required like no need of these many SGDs for community medicine and forensic. It'll be better to include more field activities in community medicine . The frequency and timing of exams are sometimes a burden for the students as the exams are so close and they are not getting enough time to improve themselves which may affect their confidence. Sometimes the exams are scheduled in between some meets conducted by university which makes it difficult for the students to participate.

Calicut Medical College - an ideal place to learn and grow as a doctor

I got admission on state quota (general category) after giving the NEET exam in 2019. I scored 646/ 720 and had an AIR rank of 1039 and state rank of 131. The overall application process was easy and all the necessary forms were given in the college itself. The admission dates were informed in the state website of Kerala, which can be found after filling the application for state quota. Application fees was paid in the college treasury itself.
