Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to be a doctor and help people and improve my families status from childhood It prepares me the best way possible The theory classes are too boring Self study will be better than lectures in terms of theory

Internships Opportunities

As iam studying in a government medical college we have one year internship as we complete the fourth year... It is done with stapent of a desemt amount.. This gives us experience to work as a doctor.

Fees and Financial Aid

Iam studying in a govt college so the fees doesn't affect me much Complete cost will be below 10 lakhs for 5 years I currently don't have any scholarships.. And I don't know about any As iam a fresher no such jobs are taken

Ponkal.. Divali.. Ramzam.. Etc are celebrated here We have got a library here It's a basic classroom with a black bord.. Projector.. Etc Cca and sports are great here as iam a footballer in my college I for all the opportunities No students m run group's

Hostel Facilities

We have a 3 per room hostel.. With sufficient closet space one bed one study table and 2 fans in a room Meal is good and healthy but up to the par in terms of taste Registration process cost me 60k the rest is cheaper

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

I got the admission through neet. The Cut-off was 610/720 for obc Admission process was ok. No changes in my mind. May be the admission process could be all online... Obc reservation has no greater effect. Only one mark difference

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

College review of gsmch

I chose this college because of number of students and size of campus. It's small. I didn't make it to other colleges because I didn't do well in neet exam. Admission is straight forward. Once you are placed you simply approach them with the documents required and just sign up. I applied for coimbatore and theni as well but they are high up. I got the confirmed admission from the college I am in now. I chose this because of the size of students and campus. I did get a rejection due to lack of marks. Eligibility is neet and marks based on reservation. Neet is the only exam. Cutoff varies. It was near 560 for this college for obc when I joined. Admission was simple and easy....Read More

I applied for all the government medical Colleges in tamilnadu (total 36 colleges) I got government sivagangai medical College and I preferred it to as it is near from my native - madurai. Medical College admission is based on the neet marks. You should obtain your category cutt off marks to get admission. As my mark is less than cut off mark to ener government madurai medical College i couldn't join there. Admission process will be manual and you have to go to the college to get admission while allotment process will be online. The common elegiblity exam will be NEET. You have to score the cutoff marks to enter the college. The cutoff marks will vary according to college and the category you belong to.
