Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose this course for uniqueness over demand because the course is quite new and i think in the next few years placement supports are given. I think workshops that are included in our curriculum that really helps me physically. In workshop we basically learn about fitting, welding, carpentry. And our curriculum also includes graphics and drawing as a subject which really helps us to opt a idea about design, architecture, different view of the objects. In our course, sessional exams are held once in a month and end semester examination is held after 3 or 4 month.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

The local industries and businesses give opportunities to internship seekers. Most of the projects are to taking surveys, cleaning places, entry datas of different things etc As a result you will get a certificate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee for my course is around 6 thousand and it includes fees for different types of facilities. The total cost of my education is around 3-4 lakhs including all the expanses. If I'm talking about scholarship, than yes the government of assam gives scholarship. Name of the scholarship is ISHAN UDAY and the amount that students are receiving is 78k/yr

Campus Life

2

I'm not satisfied with the campus they provided.Campus is very big but most of the portions are covered in jungle . There is no technical fest in the college since 2019. The facilities and technological tools are not available within the classroom.

Admission

The admission is done through an exam called CEE( Common Entrance Examination). To appear this examination the student must have physics, chemistry and mathematics in class 12 and should have minimum 50% in PCM. The cut off marks for the general category to get a seat in different branches of engineering in this college is usually between 60 to 150. The application form for this exam is released by ASTU( Assam Science and technology University). The application form is filled up through online process and the exam date and application fees are released by ASTU on their official website. The frequency of this examination is once a year and it's normally conducted in between april and July. The duration of the exam is 3 hours and the difficulty level is musch lower than JEE. The admission process is quite uncertain and the rounds of counseling for the allotment keeps changing depending on the vacancy.
