Likes

Friendly behaviour of professor and TAs, and good friends
Labs are very well maintained and have all machines and instruments.
Walking area in campus include Village square and fountain garden.

Dislikes

Bad weather in winter months and transportation is bad here.
Mess food is not so good and high prices in cantines
Unavailability of varieties of fruits and high price of fruits

Course Curriculum Overview

I was highly interested in civil engineering and government job in Indian engineering services. So, I have taken admission in this branch. Iitmandi makes us learn all real life application of civil engineering and learned all softwares and practicals in real field. Areas of improvement includes college should not do compulsory HSS courses which are irrelevant to engineering. IIT Mandi takes two exams in a semester one is midsem and another is end semester exam. The difficulty level of endsem exam is very good and challenging.

Class Size: 36Course Fees: INR 270000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for general category per semester include ,106000rs for education fee and 28600rs for hostel & mess fee. There are some scholarships available for students include some educational organization which gives scholarship and students get notified through emails and then can apply after eligibility. And also national scholarship available for the students.

Campus Life

The campus life is very good here, like college in mountains looks very beautiful. There are 3 type of fests every year include technical, cultural and sports fest. Every engineering, competition and religious books are available in the college library. Every college sports facilities are available in the campus includes cricket, volleyball, badminton, swimming, basketball,table tennis,tennis and squash. There is yoga hall also in campus. There are some clubs include drama &music club, sports club, robotics club, SAE club and yantric club.

Admission

Eligibility of the course includes to qualifying jeemain and jeeadv exams with good rank and then I have applied for jossa counselling and had done choice filling. After getting college through jossa counselling, documents verification process was scheduled in college then finally got admission. The jeemain exams usually schedule two times in a year in month of January and April, jeeadvance schedule one time in a year in month of June.

Why to get IIIT UNA in 2025

Placement Experience:

the placemts of my college is just average about 12 lakhs average package and 30 lakhs max this year but max is 60 lakhs p.a. from 7th sem students starts to get placements and got eligible the companies visited are amazon,flipkart , enfosys and many more'' the percentage of the students getting placed is about 80% till now my plans are to get on acmpus placement the best i can get

Yes campus placement is good I don't know much about it but one month ago one of our fourth year senior get 510000 package on a company and he is average student in their batch and if you have skill then you can easily get a placement so don't worry about it just chill in the college

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from 7th semester. Some of the big tech giants visit us like google , Microsoft, Oracle, Samsung, Texas Instruments, Uber, Paytm, walmart, Flipkart, amazon, etc. Offers made in 2022-23 are more than 150 where company count was more than 70. Highest package is around 63 LPA (INDIA) whereas more than 1 CR (Out of India). Average package is around 33 LPA in 2022-23. Almost 80%+ students sitting in placement gets placed (according to 2022-23 data). My plan is to join tech firm either as SDE or Data Scientist.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum in electrical is very practical and real-life based. in real-life applications, we have to do LAB courses and research seminars with good professors. some courses are very helpful like Electrical Machines, Digital Electronics, Analog Electronics, Electromechanics, Control Systems, Power Systems, Design Practicum, etc. We learn a lot of things from the above Courses. we have to learn that type of course which is based on electrical engineering but our college teaches us some HSS courses like English, Basic Communication skills, psychology and economics. for improvement in teaching methods colleges should take all classes in offline mode not in online mode because in it students can't understand. There are majorly two exams in our college Midsem and Endsem. endsem is more difficult compared to Midsem.

Honestly I initially thought of branch change and college in some what cold place which led me to this college. Our college is moderate in comparison to other iits, obviously you cant compare it with old iits , but yeah its decent enough, having good students and friends. Placement of four college is better than other iits. Some years result in placement ogf good no. of students whereas some leads to okish. The sport facilities are ok. Swimming pool is not of olympic size and it requires lot of time for repair of the sport equipments. Admission process is through Jossa counselling after JEE Advanced. I applied for VIT, NIT BHOPAL, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Jammu, IIT BHU, IIT Ropar, NIT Durgapur, and many of the IITS and NITS. I choose only this so, didn't fill for confirmation for others. IIT MANDI KE ANSUNE KISSE

The admission process at IITs are generally common through a cmon entrance exam all over India named jee mains for nits and then after qualifying in that we need to score good in jee advanced. There are reservations for sc, st, obc and economically backward classes. Like you can get good branches with lower marks. For example in computer science you can get 6000 rank for obc but around 2000 for general candidates....Read More
