Honest review of IIT Mandi

Fees and Financial Aid:

Generally their is not a great hike in fees. Only 4-5% hike can be seen every year. Fees: 100000 tution +40000 hostel and mess per semester. Total fees would be approx 12 lacs and if we include personal expenses you will be graduated here in 13 -14 lacs. If your family income is less than 1 lakh you get complete tution fee remission and if income is less than 5 lacs you got 2/3 tuition fee remission. If you belongs to SC/ST/PWD you don't have to pay tuition fees. Their are certain scholarships here based on your academic performance such as MCM merit cum means scholarship. Also some more scholarships. You can expect a good package from here is you are from CS related branch and if you are from core branch then this college is not a good option at all.

REAL REVIEW OF IIT MANDI

The fee structure for general category per semester include ,106000rs for education fee and 28600rs for hostel & mess fee. There are some scholarships available for students include some educational organization which gives scholarship and students get notified through emails and then can apply after eligibility. And also national scholarship available for the students.

Fee is around 65000 for me here in IIT mandi and complete cost of my education for the btech is around 6 lacks may be ...and I hope it will be even less and there will be scholarship for privileged students and yet we are happy here

Iit mandi review

Tution fees depend on your family income if your family is income is above 5 lakh per annum you have to pay whole fees but if you are family income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakh you have to pay almost 50% of your fees but if you are family income is less than 1 lakh you no need to pay your tuition fees but you have to pay your hostel and mess fees. The total fees of one semester is approx 1.5 lakhs includes your tuition fees and mess and hostel fees without concession. College provides many scholarship programs like NSP which helps student to pay their fees.

Scaling the heights at IIT Mandi

Fees structure is based on the category which you belong to. For general/obc category students cost comes out around 1.5 lakh per semester. Around 1 lakh is for tution fees. The SC/ST/PH students are given 100% exemption from tuition fees.

The fees structure is a little high and it's going to be increased in upcoming years but same as other IITs I got an internship in designing which was offered to me by a startup, the connection between the two of us was done through the Career and placement cell of IIT Mandi. IIT Mandi provides government scholarships as the the meritcum mean scholarship, NSP scholarship for SC student and ST students and minorities and general students, and provided state level scholarships.
