Likes

Infrastructure is really good and class size is good.
Campus is really beautiful and the labs are really good.
The professors are well educated and experienced.

Dislikes

The exams are conducted on regular basis. work load is high on students.
The classes are really hectic from morning till evening.
Attendance is strictly 75% in any case which is quite irritating at times.

The demand of AI and ML in coming days influenced me to join this branch.With excellent faculty members are brilliant students who are really helpful at all times. The area for improvement can be strict attendance policy.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies come here to offer internships and select a high number of students and even offer good PPOs. Companies such as amazon, wallmart, flipkart, google and many more offer upto 2 lakh per month during internship.

Placement Experience

Campus placements occur in 7th semester. Companies like amazon, microsoft, atlassian, walmart etc come to college for hiring engineers.Highest package was offered by atlassian which was of 58 lpa. Average It branch package was 20lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college tuition fees is very high being a private college. This is quite unaffordable for even a middle class student. The fees for whole curriculum almost touches 16 Lakh plus including the exam fee, mess and hostel fee, and other miscellaneous fees.

Campus Life

There are various fests hosted by student clubs of college. The annual fest named Bitotsav is celebrated very grandly and the tech fest names pantheon is also amazing. The college has excellent and huge library.The infrastructure is also good.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms have table, chair, bed, fan, almirah and a dustbin. The rooms are double sharing and gradually we get single sharing in second or third year.Mess meals are okay to good. Hostels are alloted during admission process.

Hostel Fee: INR 42000 per year

Admission

The requirement for the course I joined in was JEE mains cutoff. There is no distinct application form released for admission. After passing JEE, one can apply for admission through JOSAA councelling. The college conducts several exams and tests every now and then. Aside from these, we have lab assignments, lab exams, quizzes and many more. Admission process doesnt require any changes.

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

Great college if the money is not a problem for you!!

Placement Experience:

Placements are good for core branches here at Bit mesra, as compared to other colleges, about 90% students got placed as per I know from seniors, the highest core package is around 20 LPA, main top recruiting companies for core chemical are reliance, jindal and many more!

Since I am a diploma holder in civil engineering, I had to choose the same branch in B.Tech also. But actually I chose this college because my diploma friends were taking admission in the same college. The college needs some improvements, but the surrounding areas need more improvement.

NSU Jamshedpur : Average university in low fees, overall flexible and decent placement

Placement Experience:

Placements start 6th semester. Companies TCS, Wipro, Deloitte and local companies. Average package is 4 to 5 LPA. I plan to work as a full stack web developer or i will also apply off campus for better softer roles.

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are eligible for placement. Name of the company I forgot but nvidia amazon comes each year and take some students Paypal offered 4 students 28 lpa and Swiggy gave 2 students 35 lpa Nvidia gave 2 students 25 lpa Highest package data is not out as of now Avg is good this year I guess it's was 12-13 lpa Percentage is I guess reality 60/150

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. Life in NSU

Placement Experience:

Students can get placement from there 5th semester and if they perform well in the company they get internship they will get placement in there only. Many companies visits but some famous companies are Reliance, Byju's, Ujjivan,Justdial, Tcs and mamy more. Planetspark is the company which gave highest package of 8lac rs to a student. Student without backlog gets placement easily. I am planning to do a job and save some mony and do my pg so that i could get better opportunities in jobs.

Overall Experience and all reality of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
