Horrible campus. There is nothing to do here. No cafeteria, no student led clubs, no sports, nothing. Just plain boring classrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose to pursue my B.COM (Hons) degree from JD Birla Institute purely because of the rankings. It is affiliated with a well-known university. This college focuses a lot on academics and is very strict about punctuality. The level of difficulty during exams is moderate. If you study hard, you score well, if you don't, you get the marks you deserve. No biasness on that.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The per semester fee here is 60000Rs. The campus employment in JD Birla is really good and the institute is mostly known for its high-package placements. I am currently completing a course provided by the college to improve my CV. It cost me 6000Rs for a total of 9 courses, all related to my degree.

Campus Life

There is no campus life here. There are no extracurricular activities or any sort of student club within the college. Our college participates in a lot of fest's, but we don't have a fest if our own. Library, also known as the resource center is indeed very useful tho. But I wish the past years question papers were uploaded in the website rather that spending ours in the resource center to find any trace of it.

Admission

The application process was simple and short. We had to fill out the college application form from the website and submit it with the necessary documents. The first list came out after a week and the second list the following week. My name was on the second list. We did not have to give any sort of entrance exam. It is purely based on our board's percentage. Some parts of the application process which I did not like was that payments were done online, but we had to submit a physical proof, which felt unnecessary as in today's world, everything is online. I had to pay Rs105000 during the time of my admission. It included my admission fees (45000) and first semester fees(60000).

Campus placements are available for the good students who score above 8cgpa which is very difficult in cu but the starting salary starts from 300000 which I don't think is good but atleast better then the college's that doesn't provide placement

Review for GCCBA in the best way possible

Placement Experience:

On passing 5th semester, the students of Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration are eligible for campus placement offers. The campus reach out college during our sixth semester to interview us. After passing sixth semester we can proceed with the jobs in case we qualify. All the Big 4s viz EY, Deloitte, PwC and KPMG including with MNCs reach our college for campus placement opportunities. They definitely select students each year. The highest package offered till date is 10 lakhs with a associate profile. The average package is 3 laks. The percentage of students getting placement offer is between 5% to 10 %. My plan after the BCOM course is becoming a successful Chartered Accountant and Cost and Management Accountant.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. Top recruiting companies of our college are Wipro, ITC, PWC, Capital First, Future General and Times of India. Students majorly go for higher education, and around 30% of the students opted for internships. The average salary package offered was 2.5-3 LPA. Job roles were for students from all 3 specialisations like finance, marketing and HR.

I am from Asansol, a city in west bengal which is 200 km away from kolkata. So, my parents wanted that I should stay near to my hometown. So that in times of emergency its easy for me to reach my home. Firstly, I applied for BMS (Hons) at St. Xavier's College, kolkata but because of low marks in maths i could make there. Secondly, I also applied for KiiT, Bhubaneswar and luckily i got admission their but they were offering me BBA in Hospitality & Tourism and in this course i was just not interested and therefore i didn't go there. Lastly, I got admission in JDBI. The Admission procedure here is really very smooth and swift. Initially I got a mail stating my admission and all the details and after paying the admission amount later I got a call from the college for document verify and hence the admission was completed. My experience at BBA at J.D.BIRlA

The college infrastructure is good . The then director of the college Mr.Mukherjee is a very inspiring personality and when he used to give a special lecture , everyone would listen to him with concentration . The other faculty is not good . They do not teach in an interactive manner . The lectures were very boring . There were no industry visits .
