BIT MESRA review by a 1st year student

The choose btech in computer science cause i see a good placement stats of 19 lakhs per annum Currently am in 1st year and so far i don't feel like the currriculim prepares me for real-world applications so far for 1st year students the cousers could be tought in an intersting manner more like application based difficulty level of exams varies from mid to tough

Am not much aware of the intership programs but i heard some senior getting intership by few companies most of them are IT based companies also in college everyone tries to get the job in IT companies

from 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements, Companies like microsoft, Paytm The percentage of students placed varies branch to branch in my branch around 80 % placed among the qualified If i don't get campus placement i'll go of campus and by the skill i'll try to grab my dream job

The total cost of my education ranges from 20 lakhs to 21 lakhs for 4 yr btech course Am not eligible for the schoolarship, But there a college scholarship named BM birla Scholarship which is based on the CG Am not campus employed, but i have seen so much phd holders works as lab assistents

Cultural fest named BITOTSAV and technical fest named Panteon, i feel as per the funding the fest could be better than it happended this year the management wasent that good and the front rows are for Faculty members and VIPs which are mostly vaccant, All types of books realted to the couse are available in library, and in digital library and its hard to find any non fiction book in the library Sports facilty are like 7/10 there must be some couch for each sports as per the fees there are every type of clubs in college

For the frist year we have sharing rooms between two students room are small not enough space to fit two study tables, Wifi is good but sometimes it does'nt work, electricity goes away when ever there is rain or thundering, Mess menu is really good but the quality not, it varies hostel to hostel Hostels are alloted at the time of admission only, didnt felt any problem in that the process was smooth

BIT Mesra offers a wide range of course (BTech, B Pharm ,HMCT, MBA, Phd, Barch) Admission is through JEE main for btech , NEET for B Phrma , For Abroad students DASA, Some of my classmates are abroad students There are 4 exams in each semester in following pattern- Quiz 1 (10 marks) Mid sem (25 marks) Quiz 2 (10 marks) End sem (50 marks) and 5 marks for assignments Benifit of reservation in scholarship program based on the CG College should give some relaxation in attendance and should decrease the seats cause the quality of students decreases with increase in number, college should be spending more on infrastucture cause the campus feels empty.
