Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I opted for civil engineering at this university. The course was fascinating and informative. The only challenge I faced was, that my batch was the first one in this course, so the infrastructure and other aspects were not that well-established concerning my course. The course curriculum was designed as per the guidelines, and throughout four years, it was well executed by the staff and faculty. Also talking about labs and practicals, they were performed moderately as labs are under development. Exams are conducted regularly to notify student's progress throughout the degree. There are generally 2 minor and 1 major exam in a semester, Viva and practical are also conducted side by side.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee for B.tech is around Rs.1,79,000 which excludes one-time charge and security deposit. For detailed breakup refer to the university website. Scholarships and financial assistance are given based on Grades, the financial condition of the family, and also if your parents are serving in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. Also, Scholarships are provided every semester based on marks (generally top 5 scorers), like 1st rank gets full Tuition fee refund, and so on.

Campus Life

4.5

College life was overall an excellent experience, The Hostels provided were A-class, and the classrooms were well-maintained and well-equipped with technology. The overall ambiance of the campus is very soothing. Different clubs for Dancing, Coading, Craft, Sports, etc socially join students of the same interest.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is well maintained and provides almost all facilities like washrooms, medical aids, mess, and sports room. Also, the rooms are equipped with good quality beds, almira, study table and chair. I'll personally rate Mess as Okish and good enough to sustain in the long run.

Admission

The overall admission process was smooth, as briefly under: Eligibility: There is an eligibility test for the university from where, maximum of the students are taken, also JEE exam serves as another way of applying. Students can easily apply from the college website. Talking about the cutoff, it's generally not that high, but good enough to take worthy candidates. Courses offered: There are numerous courses one can apply for, namely B.tech, B.Arch, M.tech, MBA, M.Sc, M.A, Ph.D

Placement Experience:

The Placements opportunities are fair as they placement is not good. The average placement is 5 l.p.a which is very low. So you have to prepare for off campus placement. The College is slightly cut off from the top companies and they are not visiting our college from covide period. Thus placement is at not good track.

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.
