What Students Say

Likes

lot of interactive things are there, social networking , seminars , etc.
clubs like google developer student clubs and vivarta are very helpful.
there are lots of courses like btech, bca, bba, law , microbiology ,etc.

Dislikes

poor infrastructure and very small college area
there is no space to study in library, library is just for taking books, you cant sit there and read.
not every professor is helpful and most of them are unable to manage the students.

Its between good and average, neither too good nor bad. If you're interested in studies and wanna know more , you'll get many helps but if you just wanna timepass, then your future is ruined because here, there is a lot of distractions.

Internships Opportunities

there are very few internship oppurtunities here. Mostly paid internships. Internship scene is also bad here. Only those with very good skills, can hardly get an internship from college.Overall, the internship performance is too much poor.but there are some paid internships if you want.

Placement Experience

I'm a 2nd year student but dont know much about current placement scenarios, some says its good, some says its bad.Mostly i heard only negative things regarding the placements. A very few students got placements .

Fees and Financial Aid

for native bengalis, there are scholarships .Other than that , when i got admission, i had to pay 79000 as semester fees and 2000 as exam fee every semester and 5000 for once only, for uniform and college bag purpose.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is not that good but yes, the whole building is air conditioned, playgrounds are small, not too good, but social life can be the best, there are different clubs too like for gaming , coding , dancing, poetry, robotics and many more .

Admission

There was 3 ways to get admission.First, through exam in counseling which held in techno dama, if you score 20+ out of 30, and your 10th and 12th marks are 90+, you'll get direct admission. Second is through wbjee and jee rank and the third one is through management quota. I scored 22 out of 30 in counselling exam and also had 90+percentage in 10th and 12th board , so i got direct admission.

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.
