Likes

The campus is very lively and vibrant plus the seniors are very understanding.
The college is located in midsth of a forest. So you get plenty of fresh air
Class timings are not that odd which is good.

Dislikes

Campus is so big that accessibility is an issue here
The mess food quality is not upto the mark.
The quality of bathing water is very hard, so you may suffer from hairfall.

Course Curriculum Overview

Architecture is an application based course here you learn through practically given tasks and you are supposed to clear it. Overall it is a good course if you are hardworking and interested in construction. Keep in mind that not everything will be fed to you. You are supposed to learn as much as possible from your side as well

Class Size: 27Course Fees: INR 475000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is a bit on higher level since the college has set a certain benchmark for itself barch costs almost 25 lakhs and btech costs almost 22 lakhs. But on the spot loan facility is easily available at the college so they take care of all these problems

Campus Life

It is a very vibrant campus with forward minded people everywhere around you. Club as well as departmental activities keep on commencing at regular intervals which includes food stalls from big outlets, dj nights, competitions, everything. Overall, the campus is very happening

Hostel Facilities

Size of rooms are a bit on the shorter side. Besides boys hostels are placed very far apart from the academic building so coming for classes is a bit hassle but you will get used to it gradually. Hostel registation is very smooth and the administration takes care of everything with ease. Quality of mess food is on a bit bad side. They charge somewhere around 4000 per mont for mess.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

For admission in barch. course through nta you will need to apply for jee paper 2. Upon clearing the exam, you will be filling for counselling through josaa. Once you get a seat in desired clg either through home state or other state quota, you will be reporting at the designated college and completing the admission procedure. Keep in mind that you must satisfy the 75 percent criteria ar your seat can be cancelled

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is realky a new thjng for architecture department before we had to apply by own but now new placement cell is being made but last year also they would areange for. Placement and most of them are placed from here and interenship oppurtunities are also good As per pacakges 12 lakhs a year was highest ig last year but not very sure and average is like 7-8 lakhs since junior architects dont earn much so

Lack of placement opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The first semester is quite annoying as you enter a new field completely. But then from the second semester becomes some what easier but I still have more to see. Some teachers are good while others are useless according to me that is.

Basically, I am the kind of person dedicated to building and going for the design field. senior faculty are amazing and have good experience and technical skills which are very beneficial. For the design process, we generally get from faculty and also little competition is generated which is beneficial. talking about placement we generally get the link that are used, senior and faculty help to get placement and internship too

Facilities to students

Remarks:

The college has a very reputation in Jharkhand. It stands between 20 to 30 rank in all over India for best engineering colleges. And in Architecture it stands 5 th in all over India. It has a very clean and natural environment. But hostels are very far from main building.

BIT MESRA- LIFE IN GREEN NUTSHELL

I was preparing for IIT. I could not make it up in the jeed advanced even in my drop year. However, I had performed quite well in JEE Mains, and I was getting premium and prestigious NITS, but my priority and only branch I wanted was CSE. During the Jossa counselling, I had prepared a well-thought-out college list, keeping CSE first. I did not get CSE in any of the NITS due to a large rat race, reservation(I was in other state) and also an increase in percentile. I felt really disheartened and dejected that I could have worked a little harder to increase my percentile by some decimal points.I had applied for CSAB as well, with the last hope that I would pursue CSE in my own state colleges(NIT JSR or BIT MESRA). However I still regret I should have kept NIT jsr first but unfortunately due to my own mistake, I got BIT Mesra. Nevertheless, whatever happend happened.
