Sports is the best thing I liked about my college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Firstly MCA is equivalent to Btech. if someone had done graduation they can become like btech guys and can sit into placement with them and can earn a good package according to their ability.Curriculum does not prepare you much for placement you need work seperately along with the coding part.

Amazon comes to hire students for internship and jobs also for the role of sde, Analyst. Microsoft comes for sde role. Adobe came for pwd and girls and boys also. KLA for sde role. Morgan Stanley hires for Machine learning.

Placement Experience

From 5th semester in MCA, student become eligible for campus placement. There are lot of good company come into campus Amazon, Microsoft, wallmart, Accenture, TCS almost every good company come into the campus.Highest package in MCA I around 53 lakh average is around 11 lakh .Almost all students get placement. Job I'll do after MCA

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee changes 5 percentage every year. Complete cost of the education, including tution, services fees and other compulsory charges can lead to almost 6-7 lakhs per annum.Mtech Scholarship for sc/st.

Campus Life

There is two main fest that happen in our college Engineer and incident. Engineer comes in October and incident in March. Library is huge here so one can easily can get books. You can get into sports like kabbadi, football,handball, volleyball, table tennis,lawn tennis,kho kho, badminton etc.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are big and clean I live in New hostel that is shiwalik. Mess food is not that good but daal is too good.... There are vegetarian and non-vegetarian mess.Registration is easy and online only.Mess selection is online also.

Hostel Fee: INR 8000 per year

Admission

Person should have completed graduation with statistics or computer background. Application form can be filled online on nimcet.in, application fee is 2500 for general and for reservation class 1250.For reserved category under 900 rank they can get into NIT TRICHY.

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

After GATE exam, I applied to almost all top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut etc during CCMT counselling . I had also applied in IIT Dhanbad in COAP counselling. I got IIT Dhanbad in 8th round. I spoke to my coaching Sir, he had advised me to go for top 3 NITs rather than IIT Dhanbad. Since these three NITs are well established and offer better placement opportunities as compared to IIT Dhanbad which is relatively a new IIT. One needs to qualify GATE exam to get a shot at taking admission in IITs/NITs. Once you qualify the GATE exam you can then look at specific colleges cutoff for admission. I got NIT Surathkal in special round 1 which was held after 3 regular rounds. I preferred NIT Surathkal as compared to other NITs since its considered in top 3 NITs and also it's near my home as compared to NIT Trichy....Read More

LIFE AT NITK

I had applied for other IITs & NITs with different branches like IIT GUWAHATI and IIT BHU ,IIT ROORKEE,NIT TRICHY as i wasn't able to clear the cutoff according to their requirements i got NITK SURATHKAL which was the best that i got i choosed the other colleges because of their higher placement records more average salary packages and the most OG thing is that i wanted the IITian tag but i had also got a seat allocated in IIT BHU in metallurgy but i didnt wanted to take it and finally i chose NITK SURAATHKAL because it near to my hometown Banglore and the weather is very good there it has a privatre beach along with a light house many places to visit around NITK SURATHKAL mainly a very big campus of aroung 300 acres and multiple number of sports opportunities it has 2 gym .
