Likes
- Faculty's behaviour towards the students. Most of the faculties are very supportive to the students and support them through out the college life while there are exceptions too but most likely it's good and towards me all the faculty is good till now
- No ragging. In our college I haven't seen a single ragging yet which makes this college safe for everyone
- Cleanliness- the campus is very cleaned compared to other colleges.
Dislikes
- Size of the campus is very small compared to other universities
- Hostel curfew timings are very less according to other university hostels
- Faculty is very strict in the matter of assignments deadline
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good, every student has to choose extra subject from different combinations each sem, basically known as open elective which makes us to learn ither course subjects which will overall increase my knowledge and skills. Apart from open elective a student need to choose aecc and secc in different sems. Which overall increase the skills of one
Fees and Financial Aid
Once you get admission the fee structure will decrease with each passing year in the college. The fees I need to pay is only 45000 in the last year comparatively 91000 in the first year. The campus provides a lot of scholarships options one can get a scholarship very easily and continue its studies. Campus offices helps you with everything like help in loans or something.
Campus Life
There are many fests that occurs in the university, each and every day there's some fest going on. The main fest of st. Joseph's University is Visagues which generally occurs in the month of February. The library provides us with a lot of books and journal options. Every classroom is equipped with projectors and cctv cameras which provide a secure environment. Overall the campus experience is great and college is great too
Hostel Facilities
I got one of the biggest room in the hostel, overall hostel is great but the only issue is about curfew timings the hostel curfew timing is only till 6.00 pm in weekdays and 7pm in weekends. Meals are okayish not too bad nor too good. Hostel is located inside the campus itself which gives us easy access to the University.
Admission
You are not required to have mathematics in your puc even if in their website it's mentioned to have mathematics as compulsory for statistics course. Interview was not that hard, one can easily pass the interview, there was no enterance exam as well for the Bsc Economics and Statistics course. Overall it was easy to get admission
