- One thing i must say that the food here is very poor ( in mess) the
- Regarding girls hostel there is a very less no of hostels are there (only 3) they are suffering a lot due to small rooms and 4 to 5 girls shares a room
- The faculties are not much intracted with the students the way they want.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was consistent with my study also i was determined to choose this course due to more interest in the chemical engg field. The course which has been taught here is very useful with respect to my overall growth and helped me a lot to gain more knowledge in this field. Some of the things should be improved here like the attendance is 85% which sometimes becomes a burden for overall growth also some new faculties should be introduced for the young minds.
Internships Opportunities
There is a large no of companies visit and hire students from this college you can apply for both in Core or Non core sector , but for that you shd be prepared accordingly. There is a lot of projects available under the faculties of chemical engg. Also they allow us to work under them.
Placement Experience
From the 7 th sem we are eligible for placements. The are many companies visits every year including HPCL , BPCL , IOCL , ONGC , VEDANTA , TCS , TATA STEELn RELIANCE POWER LIMITED etc. The highest package in (PSU'S) Core is 19 yo 20 LPA. Also there is 97% students who are placed. I am also planing to get a job in a Psu rather than any other private company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fee is very less here also for the Reserved category it is 0. The complete cost for a Gen candidate is 1.20 lakhs(approx) per sem . Also there are a lot of scholorship opportunity is out there and the candidate can also applief for loan facility ,the enviroment is very good here all greenery with lots of trees and which keeps you fresh and feels energetic all the time . There is a lot of job roles provided with a good CTC. Also stipends for M.tech students and Phd's are available.
Campus Life
The annual festival like VRIDHI, NITRUTSAV,INNOVISION and many more are being celebrated in our college in JAN , MARCH AND NOVEMBER respectively. There a a wide range of journal available here. Also the dipartment classes are moderate good but Classes in LA are too good with AC facility. There us s wide range of stoprts activity happen inside the campus including all types of indoor amd outdoor games. The clubs, extra activities , cultural clubs helps in developing ones overall character growth .
Hostel Facilities
1 Lan provided in room with 2 sharing . Meals provided here are 30 % good rest is worst. There is no additional registration process in mess and hostel it comes included . Or you can become a Day scholor by living in a rented room outside the college (only after 1st year). The locality are jagda , sector 2 or 3 .
Admission
The eligibillity includes all types of reservations with more focusing on students from odisha. You are eligible to take admission only if you are a JEE MAINS Qualified (for b.tech ) , GATE qualified (for M.tech) etc. The clasees are conducted on a regular basis inc Labs and theory clases.
