Course Curriculum Overview
The Reason to chose EC Branch was mine only. My parents wanted to take me as a CS Branch. There are many Things like processors, integrated circuits, learning about them is fun in this practical world. moreover, we can choose jobs both related to ECE & IT.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, NITM College provides internship for all students starting from First-year students to M-Tech students. You can find almost all types of Internship in the different field.
Placement Experience
Our was the first Batch so there were fewer companies to visit NITM campus. But now there are many IT Companies who have visited For campus selection. Many IT companies visit NITM Campus. Some PSUs like Power Grid Visited our Campus for Job.
College Events
In every semester, there were 2 types of fests organised by College students. in Odd Semester, Mr Fresher and Miss Fresher, Technical Fest organised. Even semester Sports fest, as well as cultural fest, was organised.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As it was NIT fee Structure was same as other Government College. Same Reservation quota applies to everywhere for SC ST Candidates. There were having special privilege in the hostel as well as College Fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship and loan mainly provided to reserved candidates. If you are from SC, ST category then you will be rewarded with Scholarship as per the Government Rules. There were many opportunities for OBC Candidates also.

Hostel Facilities
As this was new College so NITM has rented some building near the campus. Those rooms were small. Food was not good for veg people as normally Shillong is known for Non-Veg.
Alumni/Alumna
We are the First Batch from the NITM, so we can't say much about Alumni network. From Our Batch many students are still connected to college and also some are still doing PhD.
Faculty
There were some Experienced faculties from different colleges but the maximum of the faculties was new. Almost Lab Assistant was New with no experience. Only HODs from different departments were experienced. Normal Faculty were good as they had some teaching experience in their subjects. But they didn't have any deep knowledge of anything. According to me, the Faculty for ECE and CS Branch was good and faculty for EEE Branch was average.
