Likes

In the library here, all the books are available which are related to the course or if some books are required then they are also ordered if they are related to the course.
There are 300+ computers available here and there are many teachers who guide us whenever there is a problem in computer science.
The placement of Computer Science here is 100% which is very good.

Dislikes

Not all teachers here are cooperative except a few.
The schedule here is a bit hectic, if you are into any sports then you have to concentrate on sports after the classes are over.
There are a lot of assignments here, there is no fixed week of quiz, it is decided by the teacher when to take the quiz.

Course Curriculum Overview

Here you get different courses in different semester except core subjects. At first year you have work more on maths chemistry and electronics and communication this are those subjects where students get fail.

You will eligible for campus placement in 4th year. Here numbers of companies visit is 100+. In year 2023 college average package 14 lakhs and highest 74 lakhs. All students from cse branch get placed easily.

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently the fees of btech in bit patna is 1767000 for 4 years. Which is costly for middle class family so there is some scholarship after first year like you get more than 9.5 cgpa you don't have to pay tution fees and 9-9.5 cpga you get 50% scholarship and for 8.5-9 cgpa you get 30% scholarship.

Campus Life

There is Technika event which is big event of bit patna which lasts for four days which is of cultural and technical event like dance music mono act robot making workshop etc and sports event is prakida which last for three days and these events Happens in the month of March.

Hostel Facilities

In first year you have to share your room and from second year you will get single room. In hostel you will get free internet through lan wire which you have to buy and the meal in hostel is good and at the last day of month you will get mess party.

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

For taking admission in Birla institute of technology MESRA PATNA you have to give entrance exam of jee mains and have to apply in jossa councelling and if your rank came under this college you will get the admission. You only get reservation in rank like you are in SC St or PWD if your rank is low then general you will get the admission but for you have to be in rank list.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
