I appeared JEE and hsc on feb 2015 n scored 89 in JEE and 65% in hsc n i was selected i choose it because it had decent infrastructure and good reputation and loyal staff

Placements at KJ Somaiya College of Engineering (KJSCE) are good and have a track record of placing at least 70% students. Comps and IT being at the top. 95% of the companies are software based companies. Though the average salary is same as any other engineering college that is 2, 50,000/-pa, the highest salary was 9.5 Lakh.

Campus Life

Campus life till now was very good it is bit crowdy but people here are friendly if we come to gender ratio then i would say 3 boys : 2.5 girls labs, labs have decent facilities there are machinaries to teach students in detail about components of computer hardware even they organised a competition in which we had to showcase something innovative and i made a simple robot tht moved front back right left.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are not good as i expected the rooms are not in good condition and in each room 3 students stay the hostel fees is 50000 rs including mess mess food is not tasty but they cook healthy and fresh food stuffs overall not that bad in my opinion

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Till now seniors were behaving friendly and i believe they would do the same in future anyways sone guys on the first day told me wrong about my class and i entered into wrong classroom

Why I Chose PCCOE: A Student’s Perspective on Academics and Opportunities

Placement Experience:

For 5th semester students become eligible for internship (stipend based)...And from 7th semester for placements. TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro, Tech Mahindra – for software roles Larsen & Toubro, Honeywell, Siemens, KPIT, Bosch, Persistent Systems – for core engineering roles (ENTC, Mechanical, IT) Other startups & IT product companies also visit for internships and full-time offers. Highest Package: Around ?24–28 LPA (mainly for CSE/IT students in product-based companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, TCS iON, etc.) Average Package: Around ?4.5–6 LPA for core and IT companies, and ?3.5–5 LPA for ENTC students. Each year, over 90% of CSE/IT/ENTC students get placed. Branch-specific placements may vary: CSE usually sees 95–98% placements, ENTC around 85–90%, and other branches slightly lower. currently nowdays placements are not so staisfactory due to United states tarriff and recession before that students placed upto 52lpa placemant offcampus and avg 11lpa for cs/it and in mechanical field top package is 12 lpa and average 5 lpa

The Real Experience: Strengths and Shortcomings of PCCOE

Placement Experience:

The college has a dedicated Training and Placement(T&P) cell and has regular recruitment drives that work to place students in companies where they will be values highly. Each year, 600-700 students are placed from all the branches. More than 300+ companies visit but the ones that hire are limited such as TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra which generally are mass recruiters that look for employees that will work for 3LPA or 4.5LPA. The highest packages go to about 30 to 40 LPA domestic and 61 LPA foreign but it is very rare to get a placement like this and requries considerable effort on the side of the student as well. Average package is 7 LPA for CS/IT branch; 5 LPA for electronics and telecommunications branch; 4 LPA for mechanical. My plan after getting the degree is working for 1-2 years while simultaneously pursuing masters.

honest review focusing around accommodations, reality, college life, placements

Placement Experience:

our college has motorsports clubs so if you are in those clubs you will get very high reputation while the placements. one concern you have to consider is that the will have total 3 campus for the placement drives so the crowd is very high.

Placement Experience:

From semester 6 students can sit for internship drives in college. Companies like BMC, Rapid7, TCS, Capgemini, Accenture ,Barclays visit our college, mostly the hire for SDE role and give traning to selected students. Highest package is 61 LPA and average is 7-8 LPA. Percentage of students getting placed vary each year. I am planning to sit for placement.
