What Students Say?

Likes

High academic standards. Useful subjects are included in courses. Faculty is highly qualified and dedicated. Regular conducting of exams.
Anti ragging. There is punishment for students who are involved in ragging other students.

Dislikes

Hostel facility is not good. Shortage of hostel seats. Giving hostel based on cpi.
Campus area is small compared with other nits and iits. Less space allotted for sports and other co-curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course cirriculum is very nice in nit raipur regarding cse course. This course offers good course subjects which are useful in interviews. Faculty teaches very well.There are mid sem and end semester exams for every semester where odd semesters are of 5-6 months and even semesters are of 3-4 months.

Class Size: 115Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Internships Opportunities

It offers various intership offers like research internships , on-campus internships.Good companies like Adobe , D E Shaw visit nit raipur for oncampus internships. They may provide pre placement interview offers also. They give decent stipend ranging from like 70000 to 1.5 lakhs.The roles offered are like software developing engineer , data analyst , web developer , app developer and others.

Placement Experience

Placements in college are very nice. Every year there is a higheat package of 55 lakh for ateast 3 students from cse , it and sometimes other branches also. Average package offered is around 10 lakh.Students can sit for internships in 5th semester only. Around 76 percentage of students get placed every year. Adobe , D.E.Shaw and many other reputed companies visit campus for campus placements. My plan is to get internship and get placed with a decent package in good company in campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure here is favourable to reservation students. For general and obc category students who has income abpve 5 lakh should pay fee of around 1 lakh 40 thousand.Complete cost of my education including hostel fee is around 10 lakh.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is nice with around 100 acre campus. Various clubs and committees like Sanskriti , Technocracy , Shouryaare present which provide numerous opportunities for intersted students. Classrooms are huge. Libraries with wide varaity of books are present. Sports are given importance. There is Shourya committee for sports. Samar sports event is conducted every year.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms shortage is there. There are only 3 girls and 5 biys hostels. Hostels are allotted based on cpi and category. Hostels are affordable. Hostel application is inititally release before allotment. I reside in Indrawati hostel of nit raipur.Meals quality is not upto mark but price if affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 54000 per year

Admission

Admission process was with JOSSA counselling.They used JEE Mains rank for that. There was a cut off rank for evrey branch. My rank in JEE Mains was 12453. So I got a seat in this college in college's top most department , Computer Science and Engineering. I liked all the aspects of admission process as they were clean and concise.

from 4th semesters companies started to hire students as their interns. and most of the 7th semester students get offer letters . The average placement of my department is 3 lakh per year. 25 percentage of students are getting placed in the collage placement

NIT RAIPUR, AN HIDDEN GEM

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are decent, average package is somewhere around 10-11 LPA and lowest around 4 LPA where are the highest is around 65 LPA. around 70% of students get placed through campus placement. As this is an NIT, there are many intership opportunity and stipend varis from 10,000-35,000 per month. Companies like Adobe, AMD, Intel, Microsoft provide intership opportunities in this college and over 20% students get properly paid internships

Placement Experience:

Collage provides the best placements in the whole chattishgar, it is one of the few collages in the whole country which have a dedicated drone learning ecosystem. In the 2020-2024 session averge placement is around 11.6 LPA, with the higest pakage of 34LPA and lowest of 3.6LPA. Accourding to ratio of eligible candidate and placed candidate, 9-0 percent of then get placed. Not only the placements, collage also helps in finding internships as well.

NIT Raipur (The Fastest Developing NIT)

Some major points where NIT Raipur stands out over the other colleges. It's Placements, being an NIT it's decent enough for anyone choosing a college in a peaceful and affordable city like Raipur. It's Alumni connections, that make the college foundation really strong. The Student Culture is really good for personal growth, for someone who is still figuring out his/her career NIT RR could be a really good college for them.
