BIT Lapur - College where future is made

Overall college is very good. the placement opportunities should be more and more for the BIT, Lalpur people too.

It is India's one of the renowned college and it is a Deemed university giving certificates for BIT Mesra. Here, you can include yourself not only in studies but there are various clubs where you can participate and become head of those clubs too. The seniors are very co-operative and teachers are also well educated. The only thing of BIT Lalpur is the campus is very small but it has its own Bank, small clinic but comparatively small from BIT Mesra campus. Here, there are separate classes for Boys and Girls which personally I do not like as we are grown-ups and we need to get into the IT world where there will be a proper interactive environment.

It was a very good course curriculum. It contained all the subjects which help us in the future practical knowledge. Especially C, C++, Java, Unix, Networking and Software engineering subjects are very much applied in the IT industry. You can also find the course details on the site of BIT Mesra for MCA.

An internship is wholly on the student basis. College does not provide any internship and hence, a stipend is not applicable.

Placement of BIT Lalpur is good. We were given opportunities to sit in MNC companies and most of us were placed but the only thing is Lalpur people has to go to Mesra for placement sessions and higher package companies only allow BIT a people to sit. But we got decent chances to show our talents and I personally got placed in IBM.

Our college celebrated annual FEST and Freshers Day. Also, a farewell was celebrated very nicely. Saraswati puja is always organized by the senior students helped by teachers. There are inter clubs contests happened and certificates were distributed. Apart from this, rest cultural activities were carried in the main campus.

Fee structure was around 45k per month when i joined.

Some scholarships are given on basis of marks and performance. Rest you can call up the BIT Mesra authorities to ask about. Loan is easily passed.

I will not say that the Campus Life is awesome but it is not bad too. People are friendly, the gender ratio is more or less 2:4

Alumni are placed in all the Top MNCs. They help the current juniors in either placements or any materials.

Exam structure is common. You get 3 hours to complete your paper and exam is held after every semester. Small unit tests happens once a month that depends on any teacher. There is grading system i.e. highest is 10 grade. Labs and practicals also contain marks which include in final theories.

I gave the BITSat i.e BIT entrance exam for Masters of Computer Application. It is an online test which consists of Aptitude, Maths, Reasoning and computer exam. They give you the exam number then and there only. After that based on your number, they publish the lists where you can see if your name is there and then you can go for the admission.

All the faculties are very nice and helped us in practical as well as theoretical knowledge. They also made us comfortable to ask them any questions. 2-3 teachers are very strict but they have awesome knowledge experience.
