What Students Say

Likes

Flexibility on the 75% attendance criteria.
Helpful nature of teachers and teaching quality is good
Good library services and variety of quality of books.

Placement opportunities are only for CSE students
One has to look up for internships himself.
Only boys campus , no girls allowed in campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is in accordance with AICTE. Subjects related to every branch is taught in the first year. Labs are well equipped. As of about CSE department , most teachers are good in teaching and are helpful.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester only. Many companies like TCS,Tech Mahindra,Wipro,etc. visit the campus. Last year the highest package was 8.5 lpa and that too from CSE. Average package is somewhere around 5-6 lpa. 80% of CSE students are placed and placements for other departments is not so good. My plan is set to land a job after degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

For every new batch , tuition fees increases a bit. The complete cost of education falls near ?4.3 lacs for 4 years. No such scholarships or financial aids are provided to the students from the college , but they can apply for their respective state scholarships which many students get. Placement in our college is good but only for CSE department. The average package for CSE is 5-6 lpa.

Campus Life

An annual tech fest 'JNANGNI' is organised every year in the month of Nov-Dec. Our faculty has a dedicated library from where one can easily find numerous books. Every classroom has a smart board and the campus is equipped with Wi-fi. Every year GPL(Gurukul Premier League) is organised as a sports event. There are many student clubs in the campus like GDSC and Algozenith.

Admission

Admissions are done through JEE Mains exam. One has to score above 90 percentile to get the admission. Since , it is a GFTI one has to sit in JOSAA/CSAB counselling to get the admission. Cutoffs for reserved candidates are slightly low.

Things to Know about Uttaranchal University before admission.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite bad as only a few companies come to our college for placement drive . Students becomes eligible for campus placement from the 3rd year onwards . Companies visited like TCS , HCL and some other not much popular companies visited but this year placement is very low . Our college also fake advertising about the placement they advertise the interships also as placements. 10 to 20 percent in BTech CSE are getting only Placement. I don't know what I will do after getting degree but currently I am doing a side by side diploma from IIT Roorkee to get some extra knowledge and skill improvement for better placements.

GEU and CSE ho hand in hand!

Placement Experience:

LTI, Polaris, Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Nvidia and what not are there for placements here. Even the Fintech and finance companies like the Axis Bank, Shri Ram Capital Finance and all are here. Thus, placements worth 10-50 lakhs is quite possible at GEU.

Geu provides best intenrships!

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

GEU has the best Placements!

Placement Experience:

McKinsey, Oracle, NVIDIA, Google, TCS, Deloitte and many more come here for placements. Around 15-20 students in 2025 had placements worth over 40 lakhs and four students managed to grab placements worth 50 lakhs or more.

Placement Experience:

Our college has a very good placement ratio and placement also depends on the economy and industry that year and a lot lf other factor but if you have a CGPA of above 8 you are moat likely to get placed. The highest package ranges from 2-3 crores and average goes around 13lpa. I am currently planning to do an MBA after graduation from a foreign university moat likely Harvard.

Specific aspects of the circullum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the computer science department as I love knowing about the computer and the efforts of making daily life problems easy and best thing is that if know how to use the computer well you can earn well enough of money in this world the world only cares about that you have money or not if have they will give you respect if don't have it they treat you like shit.

Engineering in Gurukul Kangri Deemed to be University, Haridwar

It was the only college offering CSE during JOSAA councilling based on my JEE Mains score, so I decided to opt for it without thinking twice. I was offered a seat in special CSAB round. Seats are offered based on JEE Mains scores. Lateral entry for diploma holders is offered directly in 2nd year based on the examination conducted by the University. Firstly we need 12th pass with 75% marks then crack the jee mains examination and sit in the josaa counseling then go into the csab counseling after the counseling crl rank under the 1lakh .
