Course Curriculum Overview
Course of first year B.Tech is common to all branches and to almost all engineering college across India. In second year, course is quite relative to my branch(CSE) but still their subjects of some other branches as well. It is quite enjoyable to learn other subjects along with your branch subjects. There is too much emphasis on practical learning based on what we study in our subjects. There is no research initiative taken by Institute but it conducts certain programs about research and innovation.
Internships Opportunities
College motivates students for internships. There is a society in college named SEDG which aims to provide internship to students.
Placement Experience
There is a lot of placement for CS, IT and ECE branches but for other, it is quite low. Around 70-80% percent in CS, IT and ECE are placed but in other branches it is low. Companies like TCS, KRONOS, HCL visit every year. Average package is low. It is around 3.5-4.5 lacs. There are some students who get a package like 12 to 15 lacs.
College Events
There are mainly two events hosted by our college - mythri (sporting event) and zealicon (cultural fest).
Fee Structure And Facilities
According to me, college fee is little bit on higher side. First year fees - 1,30,000 Second year fees - 1,13,000
Fees and Financial Aid
College didn't provide any scholarship but AKTU provides a scholarship to OBC, SC and ST students.
Hostel Facilities
I am residing in my college's official boys hostel. There are around 180 rooms. Rooms are shared by three persons with common bathrooms and toilets. Rooms are quite spacious for three person. There are PG's outside the college campus. Hostel fee is 84,000. Food is not such that anyone will love but still one can eat. But if you compare food with another hostel it is a lot better.
Faculty
Verdict on faculty is of mixed opinion. Some are highly qualified and good teaching skills but some are highly qualified yet lack in teaching skills, they make the class feel bore.
