Course Curriculum Overview

Yes, the course I chose was good and on programming and practical college make good efforts it provides extra classes on data structure and programming from professors out of college on free of cost.

No, college doesn't provide internship they provide training with different companies but not internships.

Placement Experience

The placement rate is very low as company visiting are BPO almost not a technical average package is 3 lakh.

Deewali fest, Munafa bazar and many different fests organized at the university level and every one contributes well.

No, it is very tough for me to fill the fee per sem its 41,500.

Yes, they provided but only to sc and the single girl child.

Hostel is not at all. Room are just stinky and food quality is medium.

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.
