Entrance Preview

The admissions were mainly through Punjab CET or AIEEE at the time i took admission back in 2003. The process would have changed quite over time. I scored somewhere around 700 state rank and this college seemed promising considering the investment on expertise, infrastructure and management as a whole.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The labs, the curriculum and the course is in accordance to the university which further is standard across the curriculum offered by colleges and universities across the nation. The exposure is good, hands on and practicals are emphasised overall scoring above average if not excellent experience as compared to other colleges.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are an integral part of any college. Every student seeking admission looks forward for industrial relationship and internship for securing a job after their education is over.

Placement Experience

2

Placements have been a good since inception. In our first batch itself, around 225 percent placements were done with averagely each student holding more than 2 job offers. Some students who inclined towards pursuing higher education or certain pending backlogs were not considered in the numbers mentioned.

College Events

2.5

Various star nights, cultural events, public speaking seminars and technical fests are conducted from time to time. An annual college fest named AAGHAZ is conducted across 2 days with healthy participation and performances. Other colleges from the universities and regions are invited to participate and thus creating an interaction platform for the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is in accordance with the university fee structure. At our times it was around 28000 a semester in 2003. Recently enquired the fee to be around 40000 a semester which is a genuine hike of 12000 over 14 years.

Exam Structure

Standard exams practices are conducted in the college with term and university exams. Mst's are conducted every month in a semester and frequent tests are held to keep in check the performance of students. A viva and labs exams are conducted along with. The stress on the student is not extreme but moderate to ease in excelling in the field chosen.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty is highly educated and professional with in depth knowledge of the course they teach. Most of the faculty members are Masters in technology in their respective fields and majority of them either pursuing or done with their PhD's. Furthermore the lab assistants are educated and knowledgeable on the subjects they assist with.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is good and it is improving since then. TPO looks after this process and it is responsible to call comapnies to the college and discuss about the eligibility of the students who can appear for the placements. For internships, students in the 3rd year appear for it while for placements 4th year students can appear. The average package is approx. 8-9 LPA while the highest has gone to 64 LPA during my college duration. Almost all students get placement.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

College does provide a decent number of companies to students to get placed but as per seniors Companies come with good package but students fail to grab them. Students are eligible for placement form 7th semester. As data given to us from t&p for this year currently the minimum package is 6 lpa and average is touching 8 but don't get excited it's just the starting months of placement season. My plan is to get a good college for post grad as that was my plan from the start ??
