Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course is not really relevant with our branch as we are studing mechanical , communication and some other which is irrelevant to my branch and faculty is not good.I choose ECE because I like electronic circuits and digital electronics.teachers should improve way of expressing things as most times we don't get get what they are saying.Exams are two times one is mid sem and other is end sem with difficulty is less than that of jee simple stright forward questions from notes

Internships Opportunities

3

So intership is a must in our college most of students do internship in second year but some do in 1 St year .Most of the internship in our college is research based I e you work under some professor and some do internship for technical things like some opencv intership .Companies like samsung also provide us the opportunity to do the intership even one of our seniors has a PPO of 45 lpa as they have done their intern in samsung

Placement Experience

3.5

So from 3 year or 6 semester we are eligible for campus placements placements are pretty nice with average of 12 lpa for my branch gernally wipro ,deoltt, samsung,Tata etc visits the campus .Major issue in campus is that it is far from city so travelling is a major issues so less company visits the campus.higest is of 1.43 (offcampus) with average of 12 lpa and on campus the highest is 45lpa.Around 78-80 percent of student get placed but less took placement as due to less money offered to them

Fees and Financial Aid

Ok fees structure is very complicated if you are general then 1 lakh as academic fee for you while for other caste is very less like for St it is only 20k and for castes there are some special scholarships with some conditions on the family income. So tution fee is 1 lakh and hostel fee is 25 k so net for 8 sen will be 10 lakhs.Placenets are pretty good for ECE with avg if 12 lpa

Campus Life

4

In college the cultural fest is Hillfair and techfest is Nimbus they are held in September and April respectively the Library here has wide range of books from story type to deep physics. In terms of technology it proves a huge range of facilities like large computer centres and good internet facility. In terms of sports this College has every sport form pool to basketball everysporg I can imagine. Here clubs runs by seniors has a major role on our life it tells us how to maintain herarchy and how to work effectively in a group leading to overall development

Hostel Facilities

3.5

So I live in hostel with food is nice everyday we get a new veggie a some sweet with breakfast always being my favourite.Hostel has room with 3 seating capability my room has 3 beats with 3 fans and 3 almirahs the washroom is common but the management has high force to clean si they are good to go.Hostel resistration is online with almost 25k fees for mess and 12 k for room per sensster

Admission

I got selected here with my jee rank I scored 97.85 percentile with rank of 24638 and my rank was the opening rank of my branch .As I am from Himachal so their is some reservation to himchal students. Two times the exams are held one is mid sem and other is end sem in a semester.Reservstion on caste should be reduced

Placement at JUIT begins from the 7th semester, core branches like cSE see good placements while Bioinformatics has limited on campus opportunities, Most of them opt for higher studies or research roles. I planned to go for job.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.
