The good engineering college under VTU

The college management is good. No complaints about that.

The curriculum was undertaken in my college as per the organization to which it is affiliated i.e Visvesvaraya Technological University aka VTU. The course curriculum is a bit hectic but my college has undertaken a good step to ensure that they deliver the best they can.

No our college doesn't provide internship. Instead the department made effort to make internship available to us at different agencies.

The placements and job opportunities in my college has been a record each year as told by my seniors. But as we know the requirements and job opportunities have reduced in recent two years. This has been told by the department itself. Also I am currently in last year and yet to experience the opportunity.

There are various events celebrated in my college. Some are semester wise and some are yearly based. The main event celebrated each year is the college fest named as VIDYUTH. This is a three day event with different cultural activities. These provide an opportunity for the students to showcase their talent.

The fee structure in my college depends on the type through which the student has been admitted to the college. There are three types namely: K-CET, COMED-K, and management seat. The fee range varies from 60k to 70k, 1.5 Lakh to 1.7 lakh and up to 5 lakh respectively for each type.

The college offers scholarship for needy people based on certain guidelines. Also it provides loan facility through a bank for needy people.

The campus is a large area with support for almost any outdoor sport. Also sports equipments are available and are at good condition. Gender ratio is that there are more girls than boys in my college. The laboratories are extremely nice equipped with all the latest devices.

First thing I would like to say is that I don't live in the college hostel. As heard by my hostel friends, the occupation facilities are good compared to other college hostels. Also, the college offers separate hostel for boys and girls. Both of them are in the campus itself.

The senior students, as far as I know, are not that helpful. They are just busy in their own projects and other activities such as placements which occur in last year.

The exam is conducted as per the timetable set by the affiliated to organization i.e Visvesvaraya Technological University. The guidelines, rules, and regulations are provided by the VTU itself. My college follows the mentioned guidelines strictly. Till date, no problem has occurred to me.

I got admission through a private entrance exam conducted across Karnataka named as COMED-K. First I had to write the exam consisting of Physics,Chemistry and Maths subjects. After that a ranking was given to me. Based on that ranking there were colleges which had a cutoff. I got admission in Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering.

The faculty of my college is also very good. All the members of my department are well versed in their respective areas. Even these people work very hard to deliver their lecture to us. I give a big and great respect for their hard work. Also, the department works hard to make us efficiency in the industry.
