- I didn't like the food in our hostel.it is too sweet.
- We are getting permission for club events and fests.
- There is no proper facilities in sports. We didn't have indoor games facility. We didn't have proper ground to play. Andthe size of SAC is too small.
Course Curriculum Overview
Present I was persuing Mechanical Engineering in National institute of technology Durgapur. I was very much fond of Mechanical engineering from my childhood. I was interested in learning new things in a creative way . I was fond of bikes , cars and machines. The function of machines and their design. I was interested in learning about automobile and industries. So I selected Mechanical Engineering. We have labs where we do different types of experiments which are really helpful for us to understand what the professors are teaching in our class. By doing the experiments we ourselves can learn how they are working . Although we have labs bid equipment can not be placed there. So we can not learn about bigger machines used in industries. So it is better to take us to Industrial visit. So we can learn new things from there. How a industry can run and the sector that present in them and how the engines are prepared. For one year we have 2 semesters.For each semester we have a Mid , End exam
Fees and Financial Aid
As we are having two semesters in one year. We have to pay for each semester. We have to pay both Semester fee and Hostel Fee. Hostel will provide food and accommodation. Mess fee is included in Hostel fee. As I was considered under OBC and we are under below poverty line, I have to pay 30,000 per year as semester Fee and 40,000 per year as Hostel Fee. Semester Fee also includes library fee, Semester exam fee etc. we are also getting some scholarships from government . Scholarships like NSP, FWp etc. they will provide 10,000 per year. In third we will get Internship opportunities. Core companies will provide a maximum of 10,000 to 30,000 stipe. The stipend depends upon the respective company. First an exam will be conducted by the company and then they will shortlist a few people. The shortlisted people will have an interview which consists of different rounds like HR round, PI Round and then according to their performance they will select the people eligible for the respective role.
Campus Life
The biggest Technical fest that held in our campus is AAROHAN. It will be conducted by different technical clubs like SAE India, IEEE, Recursion, BMEP etc. it will be held in March. It will be conducted in 4 days. Different clubs will organise different events during these 4 days. Some speakers will also come. The biggest cultural fest is RECSTACY. It will be conducted by cultural clubs like dance club, music club, Spicmacy, Prakriti. Cultural clubs will perform on these three days . Different events are also conducted. There will DJ on the last day. In our library there are a wide range of books are available. The books that are suggested by our professor for respective subjects are available in our library. The number of are not sufficient. There will be shortage of books. As our classes are held in Main academic building we do not have proper facilities like air conditioner in our class room. College will conduct interhall competition.Competition between Hostel for sport
Admission
First we have to write JEE Mains.If we get good score in that then we are eligible for applying for NITs. Government of India will conduct this exam.There will be two attempts for this exam.It will be conducted in January and March.For girls there will be reservation. So if we score above 90 percentile we can get good stream in our campus. There is a portal called JOSA. There we can apply for NITs and IITs in India. If we qualify JEE Advanced then only we are eligible for IITs. If not we have apply for only NITs. Application process is online. Application fee is 5000. Application dates will be most probably in September. I didn't get any reservation Benefits. It is one of the toughest exam in the India.we have to write one paper in one attempt. They are multiple correct choice type questions will be there.We have to submit our documents which are asked by the respective college through the JOSA portal. As the application process is online we have to face problems during application.
