The college has a good management with the schedule as per the given curriculum and most of the clubs are student-driven giving them the opportunity to grow.
Entrance Preview
It is close to my home. It has great academic faculty with most of them having a master's degree. The college has multiple sports ground for football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, badminton and also open spaces to organize annual cultural fests.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is affiliated to the one specified by Mumbai University. The college provides a good mix of theoretical and practical knowledge to the students. It also encourages the students to take part in various competitions to enhance their skills.
Internships Opportunities
No, the college doesn't provide internship but the students can take up an internship on their own.
Placement Experience
There are 100% placements achieved by the end of the year for all the eligible students from the computer engineering, Information Technology and electronics and telecommunication engineering courses. The mechanical engineering has also seen a rise in the number placement offers past 3-4 years.
College Events
The annual fest is celebrated every year in the semester in the month of January and February. There are multiple fests like technical first, cultural fests, Maths Club fest and online technical fest. There are other various competitions and seminars held in the college campus around the year by different courses.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a little expensive as compared to other colleges as DBIT is a private college and in a prime location. But the facilities provided by the college are good with lab's and workshop is well equipped with all the tools and equipment for the required application of engineering concepts.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college doesn't provide any scholarship but there are tie-ups with the government schemes which provides the schorlship for the low-income students.
Campus Life
The campus life is like the one a student expects to be in. A prime location in the middle of Mumbai with immense facilities for the all-round development. The gender is 50:50 for the CS, IT and etc branches. It is a little low for the mechanical branch. There various session held by seniors as well as from the industry experts.
Hostel Facilities
There is no hostel in the college. There is one canteen in the college which provides decent food. They have veg and non-veg thali for lunch and also other different snacks. Also, there is juice and milkshake counter which is the favorite place of the students to grab a quick juice or milkshake.
Alumni/Alumna
The strong alumni network is a very good plus point for the incoming students. The alumni and senior students indulge with the junior students for various competitions and project participation
Exam Structure
The exam structure is as laid down by the University Of Mumbai. There are midterm exams and a preliminary exam before the final semester examination. The internal assessment is based on class participation, assignments and practical application of the subjects.
Admission
I got admission through the MHT-CET process under the all India seats as I had also applied through then conducted AIEEE exam. The admission was based on merit list number and the students preference of college and course was asked. Based on the matching criteria of cutoff a shortlist of students was declared.
Faculty
The faculty is well equipped in their area of mastery as most of the professors have the master and some have Ph.D. degrees. The faculty motivates the students to take up challenging tasks and they assist them aptly to compete in the various inter-college compositions.
