Likes

Good surroundings with alot of greenery around
Faculty members are really co-operative & seniors also are very friendly
Fests keep happening alot & alot of sports related tournaments

Dislikes

Exams keep happening after every 2-3 month
It is secluded from the city so it quite difficult to travel around
Mess food quality is not that good & gym is also very crowded

The college is really good for mechanical & architecture field big companies like tata,L&t come here for placements quite frequently teachers are really supportive & will help u improve your academic short comings , exam happens in 3 phases minor 1, minor 2 & major

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

7-8 lakh for whole btech degree is quite affordable. Scoring well in jee will provide you scholarship which can be continued if u get score of more than 7.5 cgpa & campus have decent placement with average package ranging between 5-7 lakh

Sports related tournaments happens quiet alot of times like Saarang , Smpl(smvdu premier league) & inter departments. Library is 24/7 open for studies alot of books is present for issuing, the classes are well designed & have projectors, alot of fests also happen

The admission process is quite easy & cut-off isn't that competitive decent score in either cuet or jee can give u admission in thia college.Then their is entrence exam of the college itself whose level is very much easier

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students.
