Course Curriculum Overview

The College provides nice lab and faculty. The faculty in this college is friendly and helpful and they will help you to grow and develop skill.There will be 3 exams per semester 2 Minors and 1 Major that's why you will get your progress checked in regular intervals.

Internships Opportunities

For internships you have do it on your own . College will not provide any type of help in finding internship. You will het internships by internshala and many other web sites . There is also a dedicated course for summer internship

Placement Experience

From 6th semester you will be eligible for campus placements and companies like orange, wipro , Infosys etc visit this campus every year for placement drives. Highest Package this year was 24 lpa and mean was 10-15 .

Fees and Financial Aid

The College for each sem is around 71000 and hostel and mess fees is 43000. You will get 100% wavier in your college fees if you are under 100000 rank . You will get scholarship if you are in top 5 of your class . State scholarships can also be availed.

Campus Life

There are multiple fests like Titiksha(Technical Fest), Resurgence(Cultural Fest), Sarang(Sports Fest). The number fests in this college is not as good in private colleges. GDSC , code club and many more clubs are making a good coding culture in the university. College Campus is very beautiful and blessed with nature.

Hostel Facilities

Decent well furnished rooms with lights and fans (No Ac) . Hostel is pretty well and washrooms are the good . There is no generator or inverter so light failure is a major issue. Quality of food is average not too decent.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

The Computer Science course in this college requires About Under 1 Lakh Rank in JEE mains to get in for a general category student. The addmission process is very smooth and simple as you will get the seat in this college allotted by the JOSSA or CSAB that's why the addmission process is simple and easy.

Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Good things is that they offer minor courses for us where we can choose extra courses which we may find interesting and yaa not only that interdepartment projects can also be chosen which is very strange but don't seems relevant.curriculum earlier they were following of iit Delhi and new curriculum is not very exact and relevant because sometimes there are some unnecessary courses and no point of learning that course which forcefully imposed on us to take this course as it comes under institute department courses and are mandatory which is not so good

NIT srinagar : A place signifying Majesty of nature and a ground for academic growth

Placement Experience:

I think the students become eligible for placements after 6 th semester, if you are from CS / IT then you'll get enough opportunities for yourself... I know 8-9 seniors who have grabbed a pretty decent package from companies like Oracle If somehow you fail to get recruited on campus then i guess the off campus option is open for all I am pretty satisfied with the placement record atleast for IT The percentage placement for this year CSE was 51 considering recession part this seems good to me

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Review about Shri mata vaishni devi university

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students.
