Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum in NITW is soo well designed that the student can get into core and non core based on his choice. The curriculum not only has core subjects but also some programming courses which helps the students to get into software jobs Our curriculum consists of theory and lab sections where what ever that is thought in class will be done by students practically in the lab which helps the students to master in the course. I don't think any improvements are required in the college curriculum as far as our department is concerned. There will a continuous evaluation and end exam in the ratio about 3:2

Internships Opportunities

4

Our college provides internships in research field.Students across India can apply under our professors to do their research intern. A stipend of about 2-5 k will be provided per month and the duration will be rangi from 1-6 months. And various companies like Bajaj ,Hitachi will be offering interns to our students.Stipend offered by the companies do depend on the students performance ranging from 50000-250000 per month. Roles like data analytics, manager, software developer etc... will be offered by the companies. If the students does a good project then there will be an added advantage to them. Students at our college also prefer to do intern at ISRO etc ...

Placement Experience

4

Students can apply for internships from 5 th semester.all the students must do a core intern after their 4 th sem. About 200 companies will be offering internships to the students in their 3 Rd year . Most of the internships are paid internships.Big companies like Google,Amazon, Microsoft,Adobe etc will be offering interns to the students .Both core and non core companies will be offering interns. The great thing about NITW is software companies will allow students from all the departments to take part in the internship drive As per last year statistics the average package of our department is around 22 lpa and highest package is 52 lpa. In our dependent and. Overall highest package is 88 lpa.Around 90 Percentage of the students get placed. Coming to internships offered by NITW students across India can do research under NITW professors. After my degree am planning for higher education at top 7 iits.

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay around 125000 as tution fee per year, hostel fees is about 28000,mess fees will cost me about 20000 per year and additional 10000 will be collected from the students which includes extra fees for fest and all. I will be paying about 200000 per year.since I belong to open category am not eligible for any scholarship offered by the college.Econonic and category reservation scholarship will be provided to the students. I haven't taken any job roles in the college sk am unaware of it

Campus Life

4

Our college has around 25 clubs where the students are encouraged to join the clubs to improve their communication and leadership qualities.joing clubs will really help for the overall development of the students. Regarding fests NITW has two major fests technical fest and cultural fest. Students across country from various Colleges including IITs ,reputed colleges will be participating in our technical fest .Student will be presenting their projects in various fields . Regarding Library facilities, it is one of the biggest Library in India. Books related to any course will be available in our library.we are also provided with a digital library . Overall academic and non academic experience is good and am happy for selecting NIT warangal as my preference.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

In the first year 4 students are alloted per room and from second year there will be 2 persons per room. The facilities are not as good as other private colleges but we can get adjusted. The best part about our hostels is the security provided for girls.High security will be provided for girls hostel. Regarding menu mostly North Indian food will be served. Quality of the food is average. We will be alloted hostel rooms through smile portal they will be charging around 28000.I don't think charging such huge amount is not correct.

Admission

I got into NIT warangal through jossa counselling conducted by NTA. Every student getting above 75 percentage of marks in their 12 th class will be elegible for taking this entrance exam JEE MAINS. Based on the students rank and college, course prefferences they will be allotted seats. This counselling goes for around 1 months with 6 rounds and a special round will be conducted at the end. i got a percentile of 97.9 securing around 18000 rank. For open category the cutt off for getting into NITW electrical was. About 19000 for other state. The admission process for getting into NITW was very smooth.

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology [IITD] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical Engineering)

Didn't get good rank to get into IITB

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
