Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The couse syllabus and structure is fairly good, but improvements are needed in some areas. Techers need to explain the concepts first, rather than directly jumping to case studies and presentations. However, the number of case studies solved in class is too less compared to other institutes such as the IIMs and other top institutes. Attendance and regularity of faculty and students is good though.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Good companies come in the beginning only. Many of the finance students have to go for sales jobs in the end. Many of us had to opt-out and look for internships ourselves. Stipend is average here. Only initial companies gave good stipends. Rest are not offering any stipends. However, the college manages to get everyone placed.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are above average. The average package was Rs. 1250000. The entire batch of 650 gets placed in the end. However, many students have to goto sales roles if they are not palced in the beginning, even if they have a finance major. Placement Committee here is infamous for being opaque and dishonest with the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is too much, around 2500000, which includes mess fee. Merit scholarship was given to a handful of students only. Improvements can be made in the domain of scholarships. No on-campus job opportunities.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life here is one of the best as compared to other MBA colleges. We have a proper campus with all kinds of club and committees. We have music/dance/drama clubs here. Library is decent. The college is in Mumbai, so it's too is kind of a plus point, comparing to other MBA colleges which are generally in outskirts of smaller cities.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are good. But improvements should be made in terms of mess food's taste and water quality. Hostels are properly managed- cleaning, maintaining, etc. However, there are internet issues every now and then. And, sports facilities within the hostel are not well managed. However, sports facilities in the campus are really good if you want to avail them and are open to all.

Admission

The admission process involved clearing cut-offs for Management entrance exams like CAT, CET, CMAT, GMAT, etc. I took GMAT and got admission with a score of 670. The entry cut-off for GMAT is 550 here. Then I had to go through online CA/PI process. Students form all backgrounds have made it here. All the info regarding the admission process can be found on the institute's website.

Interview Experience

4.5

Yes, we went through a CA/PI process. I can't remember the topic as of now, but being aware of general topics related to your intended major will help you. For example, if you intend to take finance, then being aware of financial news and basic financial concepts will help. I prepared by watching Youtube videos on MBA-GD/PI process. Reading newpaper daily before my PI also helped as lot as I was asked about the recent budget.

The placement opportunity is great, but you have to maintain a good grade with zero backlogs. The campus placement cell offers multiple opportunities, but mostly students from the Engineering department got the highest LPA rather than other specialisations.

Placements are good, during our batch it was pretty low because of the recession and other economic parameters. In MBA mostly the companies come for marketing jobs so mostly the jobs offered was sales, but as the college has became university i think every process has been changed and could result in good placement.

1) students become eligible for placements just after they complete their second semester examinations 2) only local companies visited to our colleges such as per Pooja, weblink services etc which were very small scale local organisations offering very poor packages to the students 3) the average package that my batch got was 2.lakhs per annum and the highest was 6 lpa where before admission the college claimed the average packages to be 6lpa and Highest to be above 10lpa 4) the percentage of students getting placed is not more than 10-15% 5)my plans after getting the degree is to look for better companies outside my college because my college hasn't been helpful in terms of placements in any manner .

Remarks:

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.
