Course Curriculum Overview

My college atmosphere and environment are good for studying and in academic activities. My college provides so may activities like IEDS programs, Women cell activities, Arts programs, Sports programs, Hackathons etc mainly for students.

Internships Opportunities

Qspiders provide free internship for students after taking aptitude test, group discussion and interviews. Kerala start up mission provide online internship for students. Icfoss provide offline internship for students with stipend of 7000.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a merit student in my college and I have to pay a total amount of 40500 every year which includes tution fees plus other service fees. I got the merit cum means scholarship of amount 25000 in my two academic years which is for Muslim and Christian students and also there are other scholarships provided by the government for all students. There are campus placements in my college for fourth year students and students are also placed in many companies.

Campus Life

The overall experience in my college is nice and my college is conducting technical festivals according to the budget. In 2023 and 2024, technical festivals are held in my college. Our library has varieties of books, journels etc. The facilities in the classroom are good. Every year sports and other activities are conducted in my college.

Admission

I had taken through keam exam and get selected for my college. I got rank in between 20000-30000. I had got admission on merit seat. And fee structure about my course is 35000.admission process can be done more efficiently, that could help students to reach college widely.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Life in PEC

I get this college as a merit seat. I had written the KEAM entrance exam and I got this college according to the rank I got in that entrance exam. We have to give some options of college for the allotment criteria. I choose Government Colleges first but I didn't get as my rank is less when compared to the ranks taken by the government college. Next I preferred government aided colleges and I placed my college as the first option as it is under cape , and I could be a day scholar as this is of less distance from my home.
