Likes

Clubs are good and they give guidance and funding when needed
As for boys a good amount of freedom is given to them.
The guidance given by faculty and they also provide support when needed

Dislikes

The rooms are very conjusted. There isn't table given to each.
The adminstration is very bad. They do not respond when needed.
The mess fees quality is very bad and students prefer to eat outside

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is slightly outdated but still the faculty is qualified enough to give you support whenever needed. The curriculum is fairly good and can get into industries just by preparing on the side. The course can be changed according to the industry standards. The faculty should focus on projects rather than just gulping data. The exams are quite tough and the faculties are strict when it comes to correction

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees is close to 20 lakhs and there are scholarship available for students based on cgpa. The students can approach BITOSA is they are in a very dire solution and need help. There are campus internship and placement opportunities as well.

Campus Life

There is a technical fest called pantheon and cultural fest called bitosav. There are a few events held by individual clubs as well.There is always opportunity fpr sport enthusiasts as well. There are many clubs and the student can join them based on their requests

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is in a very dire state and if someone wants a good space throughout their hostel life they should not consider this college. 2 students are kept in a room made for just one student. The meal quality is very bad and most of the students prefer to eat outside

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

The student should have qualified JEE mains examination and should get a respectable percentile. The admission is done using Josaa counseling. The fees is around 20lakhs and the dates for application is released on official josaa website. The reservation can be availed by the reserved students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
