Course Curriculum Overview
Best that Uttarakhand has to offer (after AIIMS Rishikesh lol). The patient inflow is great as Doon Hospital is one of the busiest hospitals in Doon, offering quality medical service to patients, especially to the economically weaker section of the society.
Internships Opportunities
After the completion of 4 and a half years, the college offers an internship of 1 year in Government Doon Hospital (as a part of the MBBS curriculum) and pays 17000 rupees monthly to each and every student.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fees is 1.5 lakhs. It is quite a lot in comparison to the other state government medical colleges. But the good part is one does not have to sign a bond now which required students to serve in the hilly areas of the state for a particular amount of time after completion of the course.
Campus Life
Situated centrally, our medical college provides a conducive environment for academic pursuits. With modern infrastructure and well-equipped facilities, students have access to resources essential for their studies, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
Admission
Admission process was quite cumbersome but it is the case with every other medical college I guess. To get into GDMC, you have to clear NEET-UG exam and score a minimum of 569 marks out of 720, which was the cut off in 2020 for candidates having a domicile of Uttarakhand i.e. state quota (for unreserved category).
