Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our college curriculum is relevant to our course in this field we save lives of many patients which influenced me the most that's why I always wanted to become a doctor. After the inter introduction of clinical posting we get early exposure to the patients which prepare us for real word application of our knowledge. Time to time exams are conducted here to test are abilities and areas and subjects so that we can improve in that particular field.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

In our course internship is integrated in 5.5 year of course so internship is provided by our college itself it is of one year period in which we get 17000 per month of stipend. No companies come here for internship and placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here two types of students are there one are bonded and another are non bonded students. For bonded students there is 61000 per annum fees is there including hostel fee and sports fee. And for non bonded students it is 156000 per annum. Scholarship opportunities are only for reserved categories to wins which is around 50000 per annum I don't know the exact amount since I don't get one. In internship period we get stipend of 17000 per month and after that in Jr ship we get around 70000 per month.

Campus Life

3

College festivals are the key highlights of the college enjoyment and entertainment. In our college also final year students organise and yearly College fest which runs around for one week and that particular week is the best period of our year. Are classrooms are well furnished and ac classrooms are there. Sports opportunity as very less in our college since it is situated in hills so the land acquired by the college campus is very less so playgrounds are not here only ab badminton court and volleyball court is there . There is no student and social group clubs or student portals in which impact the student life.

Admission

Here we can get admission by clearing and all India level exam called neet. We get here admission when we score a good rank in need and a counselling process conducted in which if you have a good rank then a particular college according to rank is allotted to you. Through this counselling process you can get admission in your allotted college. Reservation policy is also there in this exam so reserve categories like SC ST and obc's get their respective reservation. Since it is a professional course so everyone wants to get in this particular course so it's exam difficulty level is relative but if you really want to get in this field you have to really work hard and their exam but it is worth.

Faculty

4.5

Our faculty members are well qualified for their jobs. Every teacher is an expert of their field. Here faculty to student ratio is also good in clinical postings which gives you more exposure and give few more chances of interaction teacher for better learning. In clinical postings we interact with the teachers and there they guide us to become a good doctor.

After completion of course, 1 year compulsory internship(stipend given) is offered by the college. After completion of internship, one can practice medicine as a primary health care physician/ medical officer, or he/she can given INICET/ NEET PG to get admission into a MD/MS course. Some people give USMLE to practice medicine in US. Some people go to civil services after completing their MBBS. Thus, there are various options available after MBBS.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course from this college due to its hospital. It is one of the best hospitals in uttrakhand. MBBS itself carry an important meaning in once life if they have decided to be a doctor. MBBS teachings here is only done to keep you ready for the real worlds. Case discussions are a regular thing here. Total there are 19 subjects that need to be studied within 4.5 years. Few subjects like PSM, AETCOM module should be scrapped completely. They only waste your time as maximum contents they cover are covered in other subjects and few left could be covered separately. It goes on for 3 years with unnecessary postings and practical where you discuss house dimensions, nutrition, etc.
