Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course itself is 4.5 years long with intensive real time patient interaction that helps a lot in shaping young doctors. The teaching could be improved in the first two years with introducing dummies to practice on.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees now has changed to- 1 lakh 45 thousand per year. No scholarship is provided by the college for any category or gender .No management quota seats.Seats are filled 80% by sate quota and 15% by all india quota

Campus Life

4

There is only one small scale fest in the entire year that too is not too great. As there is no playground no sports groups are present and even no cultural or any other social group is present. The college involves only studying as the main focus and no importance is given to extracurricular activities

Hostel Facilities

3

The room has a table bed chair and matress for every student with an almirah each. The meals are the worst. Registration for the hostel is quite easy and is done along with the admission process in the college

Admission

The admission takes place by all india counselling based on marks scored in neet ug and thus the merit you scored i was alloted this college based on my merit in the exam. The cutoff varies every year and the admission process is quite smooth

Faculty

4

The faculty in number is quite less compared to the students. There are multible part completion tests year round and a mud term exam with practicals and viva to add on and become the internal assessment. And a final exam with vuva and practical at end of the year

Night Life

3

The hostel is affordable but the mess is synonymous to hell with worst food. The hostel rooms are good and comfortable with single occupancy rooms available from third year. There a many small cafes and camping areas around the college but no clubs or pubs as there in the metropolitan states

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course from this college due to its hospital. It is one of the best hospitals in uttrakhand. MBBS itself carry an important meaning in once life if they have decided to be a doctor. MBBS teachings here is only done to keep you ready for the real worlds. Case discussions are a regular thing here. Total there are 19 subjects that need to be studied within 4.5 years. Few subjects like PSM, AETCOM module should be scrapped completely. They only waste your time as maximum contents they cover are covered in other subjects and few left could be covered separately. It goes on for 3 years with unnecessary postings and practical where you discuss house dimensions, nutrition, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

-Specific aspects is the pattern of exams, that was MCQs pattern and now it has been changed to 50% MCQs and 50% theory. -Curriculum is prepared in the view of clinical knowledge, there are seminars and other group discussion is also added in curriculum apart from classes - The teaching methods should be changed from PPT to ppt + black board, because it's very boring to stare on ppt for an hour - we have to pass 4 exams in one year Mid terminal exam in the end of 3rd month of academic year End terminal exam in the end of 6th month of academic year And two professional exams at the end of the academic year Exams are not difficult, the difficulty level is moderate

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college curriculum is relevant to our course in this field we save lives of many patients which influenced me the most that's why I always wanted to become a doctor. After the inter introduction of clinical posting we get early exposure to the patients which prepare us for real word application of our knowledge. Time to time exams are conducted here to test are abilities and areas and subjects so that we can improve in that particular field.

After passing the MBBS every student is eligible for the campus placement. There are no companies that visit the college for placement because the students are placed under the government. All students are provided the pay decided by the government. 100% of students qualifying MBBS are getting placements. After getting the degree I have a plan on appearing in the NEET PG exam and after qualification, I will be doing features in any of the qualified branches.
