Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Good infrastructure is there in College, it has it's best faculties. They encourage us to the fullest, more cultural activities are there, it ensures the social courage, happy to study there, Because it's a wonderful experience to be there and feel the happiness of blessings

Placement Experience

4

In medical field placement depends upon one's own set of skills acquired during the course duration, so it's about how and where you want to work. There is one year rotatory internship at the end of 4.5 years that provide 23500 ‚Ç? as stipend every month.

College Events

4

The annual 5 days main inter-college fest PYREXIA is one of the biggest in Uttarakhand. It have all sorts of dance, singing, poetry, sports both indoor and outdoor, literary, fashion show and much more to participate and win exciting cash prizes. Apart from this every major festival like deepawali, christmas etc are celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is one of the cheapest in the country for a medical college. It's approximate 5800 ‚Ç?, for entire duration of five and half years, including tution, hostel and other miscellaneous fees. So it's only in AIIMS, medical education is feasible for a common man to avail.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are banks to provide loan, as AIIMS Rishikesh is A level premiere institute, So after taking admission within one year loan application can be filed either online or offline. Loans are approved easily. Apart from that at National Scholarship Portal one can apply for Post Matric and Merit for minorities scholarship available for SC/ST/OBC/Minorities.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is not good in most of the batches, as it is about 3:1 ;boy:girl, so everyone does not have chance to make girlfriend. Parties are frequent as rishikesh is a tourist place so nearby hotels, restaurant are the venues. There is literary society ABHIVYAKTI, and a mental support group called ANUMODAN, voluntary blood donations, nukkad natak, poster competition, and Seminars, Workshop, Symposium related to academic events are organised frequently. There is some biasing based on religion in the institute, a group called NMO as hindutva support group is active, that works for spreading RSS propaganda and many faculty members including Director of Institute is part of it.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are given for both male and female students, and they are seperate. Each hostel have around 250-500 Rooms, depends upon the building, in first year they give you room with sharing for two people. From second year onwards each person get single room. Hostel rent was already taken in first fees of admission. If one does not want to stay in hostel, can rent a room upto 5000 ‚Ç? per month as rental in local area.

Alumni/Alumna

Being a new college established in 2012, there are not much alumni in the field, but a few who have worked hard succeed, there is a constant support available from senior batches be it for studies or personal help.

Admission

I always wanted to be a doctor, that's my childhood dream, i cleared the AIIMS ug entrance examination, and got a rank sufficient fo fetch me this college for admission during counseling. So let me tell you AIIMS entrance exam is one of toughest in the country, and i succeed after many failed attempt.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties are always eager, to be interested in taking class of students. There are nineteen subjects thought in MBBS, and each subject has it's own subspecialty.Being a central funded institute faculties are always qualified enough to teach undergraduate students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course from this college due to its hospital. It is one of the best hospitals in uttrakhand. MBBS itself carry an important meaning in once life if they have decided to be a doctor. MBBS teachings here is only done to keep you ready for the real worlds. Case discussions are a regular thing here. Total there are 19 subjects that need to be studied within 4.5 years. Few subjects like PSM, AETCOM module should be scrapped completely. They only waste your time as maximum contents they cover are covered in other subjects and few left could be covered separately. It goes on for 3 years with unnecessary postings and practical where you discuss house dimensions, nutrition, etc.

-Specific aspects is the pattern of exams, that was MCQs pattern and now it has been changed to 50% MCQs and 50% theory. -Curriculum is prepared in the view of clinical knowledge, there are seminars and other group discussion is also added in curriculum apart from classes - The teaching methods should be changed from PPT to ppt + black board, because it's very boring to stare on ppt for an hour - we have to pass 4 exams in one year Mid terminal exam in the end of 3rd month of academic year End terminal exam in the end of 6th month of academic year And two professional exams at the end of the academic year Exams are not difficult, the difficulty level is moderate
