BS at IITM Worth it??

Personally i feel this is the great initiative taked by IIT-M to introduce this course as it teaches much practical knowledge and teaches only relevant things which is necessary for getting great jobs, And the curriculum is highly advanced such that it is way ahed of other degrees. The advantage is right from week 1 concepts are soo basic anyone can learn from zero and it gets interesting week by week such that you won't even realize how far you've come They ask us to dedicate 10 hors per week for one course to get good enough marks for exams. Overall the course is very good i recommend that you should definitely go for it. My suggestion to the IIT-M faculty is to keep those lectures more interesting, cause sometimes it gets so boring

Fees for 1st year (Foundation level); Fees per course(subject) is 4000inr In the 1st semester there are 4 courses and in the 2nd semester there are 4,total there are 8 courses fees is around 32k inr for 1st year It gets incresed from next level which is diploma level then BSc level and at last BS level( the final one) IIT-M provides scholarships for students based in family income If income is less than 1 lakh per year 75% scholarship is given If income is between 1-5 lakhs per year 50% scholarship is given

Every year there is the biggest summer fest "Paradox" which is conducted by IIT-M for BS Data science, apart from these there are lot of others fests aswell whether it may me technical or cultural The thing i like about this thing is there are many Houses in the college in which there are sub groups as well with 20 students in one group. And every student is alloted one house, In my case i'm a member of Corbett house since 6 months i've gained lot of experience from my peers, there are lot of clubs in a houses Poetry club, chess club, toppers club and many more ( literally so many)

To get admitted in this course BS in Data Science and Applications from IIT Madras there are 2 ways to get admitted Application fee for this program: 3000inr Qualifyer-based entry- there will be a qualifier exam for admission this is 1st step, you'll need to write an exam on the courses which you've selected after 1 month of preparation (4 weeks) content will be provided by the IIT-M faculty And once you qualify this test you will be eligible to register for courses for the semester (min 2 and max 4 per semester) JEE Based Entry- to get admitted from this criteria you'll need to qualify Jee mains(eligible for advanced) irrespective of JEE mains rank. Then you can directly register for courses for the semester Application intakes- there are three intakes for this course (January, September and May) Fee per course- 4000 INR is the fee to register for 1 course and the scholarships will be provided based on family income per annum <1 lakhs per year:75% fees waived off
