There is so much learning in Computer Science and Engineering course at IIT Patna. We learn software as well as hardware things. If you want to make career in tech industry, this course is best to take. The curriculum gives us theoretical knowledge as well as practical experiences through the labs and projects that we do. It prepares us well for real-world applications. The Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods are good enough and I don't think improvements are needed. There is one mid semester and one end semester exam is every semester and along with this there are quizzes, assignments and projects depending on what professor is willing to give.

Companies like Google, Sprinklr, Media.net, Atlassian, Samsung, Trilogy Innovations etc visited our college to hire for internships. Some hired for SDE interns and some for core roles with a good stipend. I will be doing the internship in coming months.

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Various companies visit our campus for different roles such as SDE, Data Scientist, Business Analyst etc. The highest package in 2023 is 82.05 lakhs and average is 28.59 lakhs. The top recruiters are Google, Sprinklr, Atlassian, Media.net and others. Percentage of getting placements in around 80.

Tution fee increases in IITs typically occur periodically, often on an annual basis or every few years. The exact regularity may vary depending on some factors such as economic conditions, government policies, and the financial needs of the institute. The complete cost of my education is Rs. 200000 a year. There are some scholarships available such as MCM scholarship in which students are given some fee waiver along with an amount.

There are mainly three fests that take place in our college and those are Infinito (sports fest), Celesta (Tech fest) and Anwesha (Cultural fest). Infinito happens in October, Celesta in November and Anwesha in February or March. We can get all the books related to any course of our Engineering in the library. The classrooms are well furnished with ac, projectors, cameras and multiple screens. People here actively participate in extracurricular activities. Various sports are there like cricket, volleyball, football, basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis, badminton, athletics etc.. Dance rooms, music rooms and drama rooms are there for regular practice and students keep holding events at different occassions like krishna janmashtami, ganesh chaturthi. We also participate in InterIIT competetions for sports, tech and cultural programs and hold some positions. We have clubs like Exousia (dance), Aria (music), Pixxel (photography), Yavanika (drama), Vincetroke (painting)and Njack (coding).

Hostel rooms are goos. Each student has his/her own cupboard along with bed, table and a chair. Two fans in a big enough double occupancy rooms are there. Washrooms are shared. Mess meal is good enough. We have different menu for different days with non veg in dinner three days a week. Along with the tution fee we pay hostel and mess fee also (i.e. at the same website). Food is affordable. Here one cannot be in PG or room.

If one has qualified JEE Mains and his rank in JEE Advance lies between the opening and closing rank (in their respective category) of IIT Patna then he/she is eligible for the course. The admission happens through the JEE Advance for which we can apply on jee advance website, application fee varies for different category and for application dates one can keep an eye on the website (although it comes soon after the final JEE Mains results). There is reservation for OBC, SC/ST, General EWS in this exam. You can get some fee benefits at IIT Patna if you belong to one of these category and to see details get admission brochure from IIT Patna official website. There will be two papers in a single day, one in first half and another in second half. A student can appear of JEE Advance twice in two consecutive years. For the admission process students will be arranging the colleges with their preferances and based on their rank and choices they will be alloted college in different rounds.
