IIIT ranchi Review

after completing 12th i took an drop year and prepared for joint entrance exam. after that i got 96.71 percentile in jee main and opted for jossa counselling through which i got this college alloted. cutoff is around 37k to 44k rank for general category student.

the curriculum here is excellent. They focus on market relevent knowledge and even in first year we were introduced to c programming and dsa in second semester. which i found to be very good. we have two exams throughout the semester mid sem and end sem. the exams are not that difficult just revise what they have taught in class. you will score excellent.

honestly speaking no intership is provided by the college you have to look for internship by yourself. you have to apply for offcampus internships. but recently one student from our college got internship at google.

the placement is good here last year our college has done 16.01 lpa average package the meadian is stood at 13lpa the highest package is of 83 lpa. you will become eligible for placement from 7th semester onwards. almost 90% of the batch is placed year.

the complete cost of my batch is Rs. 13,01,000 /- which is including mess fee, hostel fee tution fee and other charges. the fee increase almost every year. there are no such scholorships provided by the college but you can opt for the state government scholorships or the nsp scholorships or some private scholorships.

honestly speaking we donot have our own permanent campus. classes are being runned in the two temporary campus namely jut and bsnl and for ressidential pourpose we have khelgaon campus. conisdering library we have almost every course related book + books for comptetative exams like GATE, ESE etc. sports facility is not well developed here. we have a tech fest called octovon and cultural fest called epimere.

hostel facility is good here all the rooms have wifi. the hostel is compulsion here. the mess is okayish (not so bad but is not good). the hostel fee is Rs18000. we are provided with the flats with three room and one hall.
